My boyfriend and I went for lunch today to try it and we split the rib dinner. For $16 after tax you get 5 ribs and 3 sides + a dinner roll. I got the macaroni, baked beans, and cornbread. The baked beans were incredibly savory with a not-too-strong barbecue flavor. The macaroni was perfectly peppery and the dinner roll had a great buttery flavor. And the ribs, of course, were fantastic. Lathered in a tangy barbecue, the meat comes right off the bone.

Was very hopeful due to reviews and restaurant hours. This restaurant seems to be open only 3 hours a day so for me that was a sure indication that the food was so good that they could only keep it for 3 hours, maybe I caught them on an off day. We made it at 1:30 and as per my husband the service was great , i didnt go in. I wanted smoked wings but they were already out so I settled with chicken and the sides of mac n cheese, baked beans, potato salad, and also peach cobbler for dessert. The potato salad had too much celery and mustard for me but that’s more of a preference issue. To me the Mac and cheese was pretty decent especially for restaurant quality. The baked beans were mediocre but definitely better than previous restaurants. The cobbler had a good flavor but the crust was thick and mushy. Now my issue was the star of the show which is the chicken. I got absolutely no grilled or smoked flavor from it. It honestly tasted like baked chicken but the worst part was that I’m pretty sure it was old chicken which is UNACCEPTABLE. you can tell by the texture of the skin it’s old and it was soooo chewy that it was not edible. I really wanted to like this place because of the employees and the rave reviews. I’ll give it a little while and visit again it may have been an off day or just a different cook.

It’s a hole in the wall that can be easy to overlook, but this is some of the best barbecue in Mobile. The owners are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The portions were huge, the prices are very reasonable, and the food tasted great.

Enjoyed the rib special and the hospitality the sweet lady behind the cash register is worth the trip! The Mac and cheese, collard greens and red beans and rice were a perfect compliment to the ribs. The ribs had a good snap and we’re very tender.

That is a Sausage stampede and I’ve never heard of it until today it was absolutely slamming with some BBQ sauce, cheese, mushrooms, peppers and a huge sausage. I extremely recommend eating here 10/10. Home made food right there if you know what I’m saying.
