Let’s start with the positive: Great wine, great mussels. Now on the other side: It’s a very loud place. The bar was not able to transfer the tab to the table. Service is good, but why are they all female and most of them in Mini Skirts and spandex tank tops with a fake diamond M? My fresh squid ink pasta was undercooked. My wife liked her sweet potato gnocchi. Bonus points for innovation. Overall a mixed experience. Nevertheless our waitress was wonderful and she would have been so in a more dignified outfit.

If you are looking for a place to experience great service, great environment, great food. Look here. Special shout-out to my friends; Brooke, Nubia, Angelina,Pat and Kaitlyn. Some of the best staff I have ever seen in my life. Some people come into work lifeless, not interested. This is something you will never see at Monica’s. This crew is absolutely incredible. At one point my phone was dead I asked, “hey any chance you could plug my phone in” Brooke took my phone and plugged it in. No questions asked. I asked for her Venmo to tip. She wouldn’t give. Absolutely incredible soul. This restaurant and staff make the experience. 10/10. Thank you guys so much !!

I’m still dreaming of my meal that I had here a few weeks ago. The lobster fettuccini was hands down the best dish I’ve had in the North End. It was packed with fresh lobster and the pink sauce was just perfect. They make all of their pasta and bread and it really shows. Everything is to die for. They were super accommodating with a gluten and dairy allergy too. Don’t skip the pistachio martini!

Came with an empty tummy and left with two eyes swollen shut! When my eggplant parm came out and I asked the server for some grated Parmesan, the Roman Empire entered the building and started throwing entire stainless feel refrigerators at me. Thought the tomato sauce was solid though

Came here for dinner without a reservation and waited about 40 minutes for a table to open up. The entire time it seemed like the staff didn’t know what was going on and were confused in terms of what they should do. We sat outside and the staff/server were not very attentive. We had a long wait for everything in general: getting water, being able to order our food, having the food be delivered, and getting the check. We even had trouble trying to get salt and pepper for our dishes.

We came for Valentines Day this year so this might be different to their normal service. We had an early reservation (6pm) and about half the restaurant was filled and increased as time went on.

Pretty meh experience – not horrible but also not great. Went with my husband for dinner and we were seated right in the path of customers and wait staff even though 80% of the restaurant was empty – people constantly walking past us. We ordered the truffle risotto and scallops with squid ink pasta. The risotto was god awful – all you could taste was the fake chemical truffle, which is unacceptable given it cost over $50. Scallops were very well done, pasta a little too al dente for our liking. The $20 fried zucchini was 2 pieces of deep fried shredded zucchini with some cherry tomatoes. Would also been nice to have warm bread to go with the dipping oil instead of the cold French bread that was served. They also don’t list any prices on their specials menu – really inconvenient to ask various things cost and there’s no reason to hide the prices, just wastes everyone’s time and patience. Interior is nice.
