I ordered Pozole which is a Mexican soup made with Pork. They served me chicken soup. Clearly not what I expected. We were told you have to specify Pork. I have ordered Pozole literally hundreds of times, yet this is the first time anyone has tried to fool me with Chicken. We paid for it and left Shame on you, Maria’s. It won’t happen again.

This is the best Mexican food in McKenzie TN. The service is usually pretty great, but slows down a bit when they are busy (as expected). The staff are friendly, and the food is always good. I would recommend stopping by for anyone passing through, or anyone who’s new to town.

Foods bad. Dined in, service was good. We ordered 2 lunches, both were very disappointing, enchilada sauce tasted like it came from a can, chili rieno tasted rubbery like they froze it then microwaved it, tacos were just ok, the taco meat was bland. At least we didn’t pay a lot. We won’t be going back

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RCVD TODAY. I called in an order to pick up, and the person who took my order was very rude. I gave her my phone number and then she asked if I knew who I was calling, she then hung up on me abruptly. I then picked up my order on my lunch, asked to speak to a manager and she stated there was no one here and threw my receipt to sign on the counter, when I signed it she threw it to the side. I WILL NOT COME BACK!

Maria’s offer a more Americanized type of Mexican food. Many of their menu items are less authentic Mexican cuisine with more of an American style. Many that dont enjoy spicy or strong Mexican flavors may enjoy this. For those looking for authentic Mexican cuisine may be disappointed. Another issue that bugs me is their chips and salsa, the tortilla chips literally taste like cardboard, the thin deep fried cantina style chips at some other restaurants are far better.

I have never ate at this restaurant before, until yesterday. My best friend brought me here, and I can say that I have never been more dissatisfied with a Mexican restaurant than I am with this one. We came into the restaurant and got seated. The waitress seemed to be over worked and agitated every encounter that we had with her. She took out drink order, and left. She came back 20 mins later and took our food order. She specifically asked me if I wanted veggies in the shrimp quesadilla that I ordered. I stated “no, no veggies”. The waiter left and then came back a few moments later and asked me again if I wanted veggies In it. I stated again “no I do not want vegetables in my shrimp quesadillas…” she left. When my food was brought out by someone else, my shrimp quesadilla HAD veggies! I waited over 10 mins for her to come back and I had to ask a male cleaning the table behind us to get our waiter. She came a few mins after that, and I informed her that it had veggies. She didn’t say a word to me, even when she brought the food back and I addressed her. There was no comment from her after I spoke to her. She never filled out drinks once while we were there, and the service completely sucked. Nether less, we will not be coming back.
