This was our third time dining at Windward Tavern. The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is great. We were lucky once again to get our favorite waitress Barbara, she makes us feel at home. Even if you order take out the service is fantastic. Today we ordered the mussels and empanadas, both were delicious. But we forgot to take pictures of those. I had French onion soup and my husband had chili. And we both ordered the pork tenderloin. Everything was perfect, and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Wow! I got the hot roast beef sandwich and oh my goodness I couldn’t find the bread lol. The chocolate martini was also just as amazing. My best friend and I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is a 10 also very cute little place.

We didn’t eat here. We walked in and the hostess was the rudest woman I’ve ever come in contact with. She had medium length dark hair. We came in as a family of 5 and she asked my father in law if he was with us and proceeded to hand him a stack of menus and say “here take these to the table”. Pretty comical & rude so we left. Also witnessed her be rude to everyone else that walked into the restaurant so I know it wasn’t personal to us. Just a rude lady!!!

I would not recommend dining here. To start, we ordered blackened filet bites, which were the saltiest things I’ve ever had. I ordered a burger for dinner, which had a piece of paper inside the burger. Finally, we ordered two ginger-ale sodas and the drinks were flat. To top this experience off, we received no compensation for the experience/meal. Terrible experience and we will not be returning.

To the owner, in response to a previous review(since we can’t add comments like you) yes she means your Windwood Taven on Princeton Ave in Brick NJ. She’s from the South, hence why she’s visiting us in NJ. My parents have been patrons of your restaurant for 12 years and love taking family here because the food is always good and had never had a bad experience with the food or service, until Monday August 14th from your Hostess. Not only was she rude to my family when we were there(we left right after and did not eat there) but she was also very rude to other patrons of yours while we were there. I already spoke on the phone with a manager who did not give a name but wanted mine(weird). But I wanted to make sure the owner knew as well. Someone needs to talk to this hostess because her customer service is absolutely not acceptable and horrible. She’s the one who greets your patrons and with this behavior, you’ll continue to loss service because of her.
