We had our baby shower in October and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Lodge at Mountain Lakes. The owner Laura was really accommodating and is one of the sweetest people we have met. The venue was so beautiful and the staff was incredible. We had the brunch menu with the omelet station and the food was amazing! Everyone was so happy with the experience from start to finish! We cant wait to back to the Lodge! No matter how many times you’ve walked around Mountain Lake, you haven’t truly admired its beauty until you spend time in the lodge. It is perfectly decorated and frames the view just right. You’ll gain a whole new appreciation for the location after seeing it through those windows. Breakfast one time was just “eh.” But the buffet for Mother’s Day was delicious. The first time, we had one experience with a nasty look from one waitress, but it was great Mother’s Day even though they were incredibly busy.

This is a magical place for special dining. A must see the sunset at night. Come to enjoy, rest, recover and be mesmerized by the surroundings. I lived off of Mountain Lake for years and my own cocktail hour was always enhanced by the view.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere with lovely views of the lake. We had a rather large group of ladies for a luncheon and the staff did their best to accommodate us. Everyone liked their food except hot sandwiches not having fries was a bit surprising. The staff did bring out some baskets to share – so thank you for the effort. We will be back.

What fun we had! The rustic flare was great, the fire even better. Service, rooms, food and drinks were courteous, comfortable and delicious. Sharing other guests’ joy in Dirty Dancing was delightful. We also loved the Lodge’s respect of its history. There could have been more substantial offering for a Dirty Dancing weekend, considering the advertising. We did more on our own, along with other fans. A postcard and repetitive brochures were boring; the movie presentation was was conducted by guests as no staff showed up. Aside from that, it’s a lovely place to stay.

I had my sons Jack and Jill bridal shower at the lodge. I could not have been happier. The place is beautiful inside. They did an outstanding job decorating it. The owners are lovely. The food wonderful. My only regret is I wish my son was getting married here. I also stopped here for a dinner one night. Can’t say enough

The views are the reason I ho back. The food is your regular pizza, burgers, onion rings, etc. There’s a small outdoor patio you can have some cocktails and admire the backdrop. Staff were pleasant and the indoor lodge is pretty.

I had my sister’s Wedding Shower here today and couldn’t be happier! The venue and the views are beautiful. The ladies (Patty and Barb) were wonderful. Laura was awesome through the whole process. She responded quickly to all my emails and questions, and was super accommodating and helpful the day of. It was a perfect day…..and my sister booked her rehearsal dinner before she left!

Went for our anniversary dinner last night. My first time here but was not impressed. We had a 6:00 reservation and was surprised that a worker was vacuuming around us during our dinner!! I could maybe understand if we were there near there closing time but we weren’t. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be a romantic dinner for us. The menu options were severely lacking. No pasta available with chicken franchese? Usually that is served with pasta! The coconut shrimp came with a weird salsa that didn’t go with it at all. No vegetables offered as a side and no bread either. It’s a shame because the view and building is beautiful and has so much potential but obviously it needs better management. I won’t recommend.

I was excited to come to this venue for the first time to celebrate Mother’s Day and it turned out to be a disappointment. At first we were sat at a table on the edge of the bar area with people hovering over us and when I was getting up to get food someone waiting was right there to take my chair. When I asked if we could move to a perfectly open table for 3 I was told it was reserved. Well we too had a reservation! After asking again and that we had a reservation we were moved. After we moved we were basically on our own. Not once did a waitress come to see if we wanted a drink, my husband went to the bar for our drinks and he even went to the bar to pay since no waitress had come by. It wasn’t until we got up to leave that we were finally noticed and asked if we would like to pay. Funny how you become visible when they want you to pay the bill. It wasn’t even worth what we paid!! I’m leaving this review not necessarily to complain but in the hopes this venue does better in the future for other patrons.
