Staff was friendly and it was a nice looking and clean restuarant. The food is what I mainly had an issue with. Chicken fried chicken is a chicken tender with gravy on it. $10. Thankfully I got a baked potato, it was bigger than the chicken strip I got. Loaded with butter, sour cream, dried(or old) chives and store bought bacon bits. Which is weird because they have a lot of burgers, some of which come with bacon. You would think it would be cheaper to just make your own bacon bits but hey whatever. Just odd choices here.

Not bad for lunch on Friday. Service was good, food was good. Nice to see someone who can cook an egg right. Had a burger like a hangover. Meat was cooked right. Wife had the chicken sandwich, said it was very good. All in all, good lunch stop.

I dined at Josy’s Grill. I got the mango fish tacos lunch special with onion rings for my side, I added a bake potato, and I ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. As much as I like eating mangos, these tacos weren’t good to me. I tried to force myself to eat them because I don’t like wasting my money. The tortillas wasn’t good to me. The plate came with 2 tacos, I ate one and took a small bite of the other one. The daiquiri was bland/bitter, I drank 1 inch from the rim of the glass. The loaded baked potato and onion rings were SUPERB . That was my first and most likely last time going there. I drove all the way from Midland to Odessa in search of the perfect fish tacos. Next stop gonna be Triple Threat and Abuelos.

Josy’s has been a favorite of mine for a few years. Best burgers in town and fries made from a fresh potato. Other dishes are also good. But I’m only giving 4 stars because the fries went downhill. Even with me specifying to cook the fries until they’re crispy, half the time they still come out undercooked. Very disappointing since the fries used to be 5 star perfect every time.
