I had an unpleasant experience at this local Vietnamese establishment with the elderly lady cashier. I wanted to order a basic #1 sandwich that is commonly found in Vietnamese stores. Despite my efforts to be polite and respectful, I found her to be quite rude in her responses. As a result of this encounter, I would recommend that those who do not speak Vietnamese to avoid this establishment in the future. Really made for an unpleasant experience. Hire better people..

I’m here for their Vietnamese ice coffee most of the time (it’s strong and delicious), and somehow they turned this coffee and sandwich place into a Vietnamese/Asian mini mart. Lots of asian products (from all over) available here. Parking is difficult since there are only a few spots outside, and also keep in mind this is a sketchy part of the city of Oakland (I always try to be alert in this type of neighborhood)

Very good Vietnamese Banh mi, baguette, iced-coffee. Lots of other prepared and packaged foods. This place is hidden away and easy to miss while driving down the street. Now it’s my favorite place in this area.

This place is not like the Lee’s Deli in San Francisco. It’s mostly a Vietnamese grocery store that makes its own baguettes.

They have all kinds of sandwiches, and too many dry products, and prices i think cheaper than a other supermarket around there.also drinks, snacks, food togo

12/30/22 I originally wanted to go to Rio California only to find out they were closed. This was the next place to try. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a pork roll sandwich without jalapeño and cilantro. The bread was still warm and crispy in the chicken sandwich and the meat was there. Everything about the sandwich was perfect. The pork roll sandwich was good as well except for the Maggi that they added to the sandwich for flavor. It did make the sandwich a little soggy. The store itself wasn’t a surprise to me since I saw the pictures on Yelp and they were accurate. They do have a good selection of mini groceries that one might need. They have instant Vietnamese coffee and tapioca pearls if you wish to make your own. Noodles and snacks.

All the breads made fresh in house and it slaps. It was so delicious and crunchy and fluffy on the inside. They had a great variety of sandwiches, not just Asian but also European style.

Always my go to for banh mi & other vietnamese favorites. Lots of quick authentic premade plates to choose from plus sesame balls, chinese donuts and spring rolls.
