First trip here to this awesome Diner …Had breakfast , and we’re so glad we chose this place! Had: Giambotta Omelettes..Grilled Veggies Omelette, Avocado Omelette .. & pancakes. The Omelettes came with ‘Smashbrowns’ ( which are thick potato chunks slightly smashed .. and are great!) and your choice of toast.. the bread was great! French press coffee… pancakes .. the pancakes were perfect ! Thick and just right! Coffee is roasted right across the street at ‘Mill Creek Coffee’. We loved the ambience!! Very warming and nice lighting ! Very friendly staff . Great overall dining experience!! Will definitely be back !!

This is a local Gem. If you want a pleasant surprise and experience for the palate and mind, you must try this place. The staff have no turnover, so they will learn your name and remember you. They are even better than the food.

Excellent breakfast and experience. Some patrons have suggested to me it may be a bit pricey. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. You get what you pay for!

A very popular breakfast and lunch restaurant in Erie, and for good reason, absolutely delicious food at a reasonable price!! There are so many good choices, you can’t go wrong. We ordered toast, carrot and quinoa salad, and eggs with fries among us, and the foods were prepared perfectly. The coffee drinks were served promptly with our food, and the service was outstanding.

Clean place and waitress was pleasant. Now for the food…. Scrambled eggs undercooked. Not sure what the potatoes were supposed to be. Sausage patty was the most foul thing I’ve ever eaten. Now sure if it was spoiled or what…it just had the funkiest taste.

Went camping with a few friends and we were looking for a nice local mom and pop with good portions at a fair price and boy did we find it! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Not once did I see the bottom of my cup. The food was amazing. Not only were the portions big at an affordable price, but the presentation is beautiful. I highly recommend this to locals or those just passing through.

Can’t speak highly enough about Gem City Dinor. Absolutely love it every time. Just brought a friend there who’s originally from here and now lives on the west coast. He also thoroughly enjoyed it. Giambotta omelet is everything! Potatoes are the best… Etc. Love it!!!

I didn’t take a picture of it…but I got the french toast ($4.99) with chocolate chips ($1.50) and I don’t know if it’s the extra butter they give you or what, but I think this is the best french toast I’ve ever had (sorry, mom). This is my third time here, the first two times I got the cheeseburger omelette (I think) which was also really delicious. But hands down, I would 100% recommend the french toast to anyone who is thinking about it.
