Great burger! Our server was fantastic and what a view. I was surprised by the interior. I had heard so much about this place over the years that I expected a very nice, upscale atmosphere, it’s very plain and needs updating. With the view of the little falls and river and very good food it’s well worth getting off the beaten path and searching it down, just don’t expect too much atmosphere wise.

Such a neat out of way spot to dine by the Elk River. There’s 2 restaurants here, same chef/kitchen. Haven 55 is casually formal, reservations are needed. The tavern is next door and more like a bar-the tavern has a wood fired pizza oven and they offer burgers and bar fare. Aside from the cool location, it leaves a few things to be desired. We ate on the tavern side; while the bartender was certainly nice, there’s nobody waiting on tables. There’s no hostess, and no one bussing tables. For the limited seating they have, a 3 top took up at 8 top table and a 4 top did the same thing. Then there were three 5 tops squeezed into tables sized for 2-3 people. You have to go up to the bar for drinks and to order food. There isn’t a clear line to wait in, you just belly up and hope she’ll get around to you. There’s no salt and pepper, napkins or condiments-you will have to get up and go ask for everything you need. That goes for the check too. After the 3 top at the large table left, we moved over to their table and their dirty dinner plates and beer bottles sat there until we left. The burger I had was decent, didn’t quite meet the edges of the bun, but it tasted good. The produce on the burger was perfect, especially the tomato and pickles. Fries were a little dark, but tasty-they had sat a minute, so not really hot or crispy. My friends had the pizza, see Natasha Kane’s review for that :). I also feel the place could use a good spring clean, the windows were just filthy with spider webs and gnat nests and it was the same for the patio on the haven 55 side. We poked our heads in to haven and every table needed bussing. So maybe they just need more staff? I’ll give them another try in a few months.

Chloe Moore, an Shylee Macy are wonderful employees. Checking on us many times and would tell us about different things happening right there. We had a beautiful view. We also saw boat floats on opposite side of water. Really looks wonderful for summer. When back in area we will stop back in.

Whoa….that’s all I have to say about the prime rib sandwich – absolutely melt in your mouth goodness! Excellent service, food was wonderful, and the view over the river is fantastic- if you love down home places, with quality food, this is the place to go !

Great little place just outside of NWA. Small place. Need reservations. Our server was very attentive and fun, but not overly involved with the table. The food was excellent. We started with the fried green beans which were great dipped in ranch or their house made (mild) horseradish dip. Highly recommend the cedar plank salmon with a twice baked potato. The asparagus was also great.

“Best restaurant around” is only the start to explain how great this place is. From the phone call to get a reservation (yes, you will want to get a reservation) and the fun and friendly hostess who answered the phone to the same excitement that greeted us at the door and throughout dinner, the whole staff experience was phenomenal. Our water and sodas were never empty and the food service was great. Our food choices were the ribeye, New York strip, chicken and salmon options. Even the youngest gave 2 enthusiastic thumbs up to the cheeseburger. Overall this was a top notch experience.

Just happened to be driving through the area and found this little gem. They were busy on a Thursday, from what I hear, they are busy alot. The owner/chef did an excellent job serving all our dishes beautiful and perfectly hot. The service was great and they were getting as many people as possible taken care of. I would recommend getting the market and seasonal specials. Oh, and make reservations.

It’s hard to tell what is better here. The food or the view. Haven 55 used to be a Mill years ago and overlooks elk river. The remnants of the old millworks are still visible and offer a beautiful vista as you dine. The food is stellar as well. I lightly recommend the truffle fries and heads up, you could feed 4 people with the serving!
