This place only gets 1-star for me because the dock is nice. However, I was not served and actively ignored, no matter how long I stood at the bar. I hate to throw around the “race card” but as a visibly Black guy, I wasn’t able to spend any money here. My fairly complexioned cousin and this cool white guy had to get drinks for me. It was as if he knew what was going on and helped me out. And as for my cousin, she was only able to get drinks because the bartender wanted to had a crush on her lol. Pathetic.

QUITE LITERALLY THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD AT A RESTERAUNT. Showed up at about 6:15PM. Got our table, nobody came to even take a drink order so we went to bar to order our drinks and food after waiting ~30 minutes. Ordered finally around 6:45PM at the bar on our own. Waited and waited…at 8pm i asked bartender where my food is. He said to me, “You’re best off canceling your order because last time I went in the back to check on an order, they cussed me out.”

Hard dock is a great small restaurant and bar located right on the Tennessee River at Riverwalk marina. It’s one of the only restaurants accessible by water in the area. They offer American and seafood choices on their menu and I really enjoy the Buffalo chicken sandwich, its superb. Cannon is a great bartender and always has a smile on his face. Robin is a one of My favorite servers. She always keeps me happy and well taken care of.

I hate giving bad reviews, but some places you just have to warn people about. Arrived at 4pm, sign says seat yourself so we did. Took 15 min to even get what they call a menu then waitress only brings two menus for 6 people. She tells us the bar is open. When we ask, the waitress tells us they don’t have a drink menu. She tells us as we order certain drinks that they are out of those. We finally find drinks we like that they actually have , and start to order food from the shortened menus. Those items are not available she said. So we ended up with air fryer freezer food appetizers, and the only meat available were the fried catfish, shrimp and chicken fingers. All three items are being cooked in the same grease. The fish and chicken fingers were burnt and very greasy. The waitress tells us she is helping in the kitchen. So that tells me they do not have a cook “good cook”, short on waitresses and out of just about everything on the “shortened menu”. The mens bathroom could use some attention as well. This place has potential in the location it is, but we won’t be back. Open bar is not open by the way. I don’t think the waitress understands what an open bar means. The only good part about our time at Hard Dock was being able to get together with family.

The worst food ever. What happened to this place! We came here years ago when they had steak, oyster, etc. and It was packed with customers. Now they throw frozen shrimp or whatever in a fryer. The hush puppies were extremely over cooked. The shrimp were big, after a couple they tasted like grease. Never again!
