It was my first time trying Malaysian cuisine. Loved their roti parata and curry but other items were not that great. Entrees don’t come with rice included. It’s expensive but worth trying once. Restaurant has a good vibe and service is also good.

Roti Pratha is always a must order when you visit this restaurant. It was good except it should be on the softer side rather than too crispy. We also ordered Penang Sizzling Chicken, Miri Prawns, Malay Mee Goreng, Hijau Basil Fried Rice. Miri Prawns and Basil Fried Rice were good. We were disappointed with Penang Sizzling Chicken and Malay Mee Goreng, they were not close to how they have to be. Very saucy, ketchup kind off. Huge let down on some famous Malay dishes. Even the service was bad. Server was always on his phone. We ask for something, he gets and then back to his phone. We had to ask multiple times to get the entree plates. All this when the restaurant is almost empty. Not sure if we will be back to this restaurant after such an experience.

Banana Garden Dublin is a restaurant that offers a mix of Asian cuisine, with a focus on Malaysian food. While the food is good, the overall experience of dining at Banana Garden leaves a lot to be desired. The ambiance of the main dining area is lacking, with a somewhat sterile feel that does not add to the dining experience. However, if you’re able to snag one of the private areas, the ambiance is much better and more intimate.

I have had Malaysian food before, not the greatest but meets expectations. We were there on Fri night for girls dinner out, there was birthday party inside the restaurant that was too loud. Even though the party hall door was closed it was too loud. The person who served us super rude. Never came to our table and we ordered another dish with the server who came to our table. He came back and told not to order with anyone and he is our server and only he could get the order, of course not politely.
