After a wonderful hike on Bear Mountain, we got really hungry. Thankfully this place was right down the road and open for business. The staff was super kind and friendly. The menu options were what you’d expect at a BBQ restaurant and the flavors did not disappoint! The baked beans were spot on, which is where I like to start to know if a restaurant cares about what they’re serving; and they clearly do! Everything on our plate tasted amazing, especially after a hike. I’d recommend the pulled pork and that sauce as my most memorable (for me) but the entire plate was delicious. If you’re eating with someone this can easily be shared for two with leftovers. You won’t be underserved like some restaurants in the city (a joyful mistake we made by ordering separate gave us plenty.) The French onion soup is great too! Someone recommended we dip our fries in it and that was a game changer! Definitely has a homey vibe with people who care about food and good service. So if you’re hungry after Bear Mountain and reading what’s around to eat; this is your spot! You won’t be disappointed and you wont break your wallet. Also they have a sign that says “no reservations!” If that matters in your meal planning

My partner and I had a very enjoyable time here. We got the Potato Wedges for the appetizer and Pig Out meal with an extra side and extra cornbread. Wait time wasn’t too long. Very average wait for the amount of food we got. It was all very delicious and the staff were very accommodating.

Brunch/breakfast here is so good! All of the food was delicious, their hash browns are unique and really tasty. They’re new to doing breakfast & they were able to accommodate two large parties & smaller tables all at the same time. We’ll definitely be back.
