Stopped in here on a break from Big Bend. Business look alike it’s fairly new, a few people inside and the music was horrible, however; the food was fantastic. My only other gripe would be the wait for the food was a little king, especially for lunch, but again; excellent food that made up for any ambiance issues.

If you are traveling through Alpine, you must stop here. The food is absolutely delicious. The salsas are as authentic as they come…there was a party in my mouth!! You will not be disappointed with the cuisine. Try the carne Huaraches, the blue corn masa makes this a dish extra yummy

this is by far one of my favorite places to eat in alpine! the food stands out compared to the other typical Tex-Mex places in town. the service here is always phenomenal, they hired great waiters. while sometimes it can get busy, the food is worth the wait. I personally enjoy the shrimp tacos grilled, as well as the Mulita (with any meat I choose)!

I ordered the Chile Relleno. Excellent choice! I had never had it with a corn tortilla before, might I add, made from scratch! Delicious, it was 5 stars.

Great service and music help set the stage for a delicious dining experience! Tacos al Pastor plate, Sazzon Bowl, and Tacos Dorados de Papa were all amazing!

Pretty food with no flavor. I ordered the daily special Birria tacos ($17) and received three tiny tacos and some flavorless beans. The consommé it came with tasted like watered down mole. The Elote was good and the service was great. The huaraches were not good at all, no flavor. The carne asada was chewy, like it had been cooked hours prior and just reheated.

When we pulled up on a Saturday afternoon (3pm) to an empty parking lot, there was some concern. However, once inside, we were warmly welcomed. We started off with chips, salsa, and guac. The salsa is the real deal. Very delicious. The plates don’t come with rice, but the amount of food was enough. Being from Austin we have never been to Alpine. I can say that the next time we hike Big Bend, this will be our go to restaurant for Mexican food.

I was met by a perky hello from Ella’s when I walked in on a Tuesday evening around 6 pm. I was the only guest, and Ella’s said to sit anywhere. I ordered Chips & Salsa and the Sazzon Bowl. The Sazzon Bowl is a layered (bottom to top) White Rice, Beans, Corn, Carne Asada. Shredded Lettuce. It was topped with a slice of Pickled Onion and a Radish. This had been lightly drizzled with an Avocado/Cilantro dressing. It’s not spicy tasting, but by the end of the bowl, my mouth was pleasantly tingling and my sinuses had opened up. Very enjoyable. Locally owned.

Best baja Mexican food I’ve ever had and I’m from Austin. My fish tacos were unbelievably delicious, with a homemade corn tortilla and fresh vegetables. It came with a side of rice and lime. Wonderfully service and friendly staff. My sister ordered vegetarian potato tacos and those were super tasty as well. By far the best place to eat in Alpine. If you’re driving through Alpine, I recommend stopping through for some authentic and delicious food!

Sorry to do it but unfortunately this was the priciest and most overrated food I’ve had anywhere in TX/AZ/NM.
