Driving across Iowa, you cannot leave the state without eating a pork tenderloin sandwich! This place did not disappoint. The tenderloin was literally twice the size of the bun. My wife had a burger and it too was thick and cooked to perfection. Whoever is cooking in the back deserves a raise! It is getting very hard to find a good food joint that takes pride in getting the food RIGHT. We shared some corn nuggets, because we didn’t know what it was, so we had to try them. Delicious. The whole meal was under $40 … an absolute bargain and a gem alongside the highway.

When we arrived there were NO cleaned tables. When we left there were still no clean tables. The waitresses only cleaned the table when someone came in to sit down. Our appetizer came close to our meal, instead of awhile before so we could eat it before our main order. We had to scavenge our own silverware from dirty tables.

It’s really disappointing when you Order the tenderloins special on thursday evening, and they charge you full price. I called for 2 tenderloins specials with fries., And the waitress charged me full price for both. Didn’t seem to know anything about a Thursday night’s special? And the food just isn’t consistent, Last time we ordered, we got jipped out of an order of fries..
