We were so hungry, i forgot to take pics. Hubby and I were in the area and looking for dinner. Found Shannon’s on the map. We had the catfish platter with cheese grits and collards and the combo platter with blackened shrimp and grouper and fries,cucumber/tomato salad. All was very good. The next time we are in the area, we will try to go much earlier though, as they were out of gumbo, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and hush puppies because all is homemade and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Highly recommend!

The food came out quickly despite the crowd. Great people working there. The cashier was very friendly. I really liked the lumpia. My daughter ordered shrimp and she really loved it. We both however wasn’t a fan of the hush puppies or fried okra. We plan to go back and try something else. Hopefully we will like things better then.

They were about to close when I arrived, so I got takeout. By the time I got home about 20 minutes later, I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the food was! It was still piping hot and absolutely delicious!!

Been trying to get here for a while now as it has so many good reviews. So glad we made it! The reviews are spot on. Had the shrimp and grits and it was delish. About a dozen grilled shrimp on a bed of grits covered with a cream sauce and crispy bacon. Also had the tomato and cucumber salad dressed in an Italian type dressing. Our waitress was very helpful , friendly and attentive. We will be coming back for more!

Not a huge place, but that’s probably the best part. Plenty of seating for our family of 11, but a family style atmosphere. The food was fantastic! I had a bowl of gumbo that we shared. I then had mullet and grilled jumbo shrimp with seasoned fries, fried okra, and some banana pudding for dessert. Other members of the family tried other combinations with mahi mahi, grouper, flounder, chicken strips, fried shrimp, and a steak burger. We shared meals to taste everything and it was all great. Everyone has their preferences, but I enjoyed tasting all of it. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Very pleased!

Great customer service and good food. I had the fried mullet platter with collard greens and fried okra. Portions were acceptable to the costs. Collard greens were exceptional! When you enter, grab a menu from the counter, find a seat and decide what to order. Take the menu back and place your order at the counter, then get your drink and go sit down at your table and they bring your fresh cooked meal.

I’m not a fishy guy, but that was some of the best fish I’ve had!!! Lexy was an amazing server! Banana pudding was one of the best puddings I have ever had as well!! Overall and amazing restaurant for family.
