What once was known as the Chalet, a Wisconsin supper club, is now River Jack’s Bar & Grill. We have a unique bar food menu. We serve the famous Baked French Onion soup that the Chalet once used to. Try our wedge salad, any one of our wraps. You will want to try our most popular sandwich, Italian Beef. Live music every weekend. Come join us Tuesdays at 6:30 PM for Xtreme Bar Bingo. Karaoke every other Wednesday 8-12 pm. Classic Car and Bike Night Thursdays throughout summer. Live music Thursdays 6-9 pm. Before you know it, our place will be your home where you feel welcome in our cozy bar and become family to us.

The overall feel of the place is more of a rustic bar than restaurant, but the service and food is really great. The drink offerings are pretty basic, so don’t expect a muddled Old Fashioned, or anything like that. The wedge salad is great and enormous, the fish fry (no baked) is one of my top three in the area. I haven’t tried it, but the pictured pork chop sandwich looks impressive. For you old timers, they apparently have the original recipe for the old “Chalet” French Onion Soup, so I will certainly be trying that on my next visit. The place is small and gets busy, but food is served quite early and very late.

This review is overdue! This is a great place to eat, drink, and enjoy the live music they have several days a week. The food is top notch! Great burgers, Italian beef, and homemade nachos are some favorites. Also recommend the bologna sandwich! Where else can you get that? Nice selection of throwback beers too. The owners work hard to make this an enjoyable place to go. Give it a try if you haven’t yet.

Their food is delicious. Rumor is their French onion soup is a favorite from a past establishment. It was good. Also the FIXXX Bloody Mary was delicious. I forgot to ask about the cucumber jalapeños tequila in the bloody.

Had lunch. I had an Italian beef. Sandwich was overstuffed with perfectly lean and tender meat . Delicious. My husband had a burger, quality of meat was very good. He ate every bite and he never finishes! Service was wonderful. Prices are average for the area, even a bit less expensive for the area. Will certainly return.

We used to come here quite often when it was The Chalet, so we had go back and try this new place. So glad we did! Had the burgers and they were sooo delicious and juicy. Definitely gotta go back! BTW they have the Chalet’s famous Baked French Onion soup on their menu!

Our first time visiting. Everything was clean and comfortable. Bartender/Waitress was friendly and service was Amazing. Food was great. Fried Bologna sandwich was fantastic. And the Bloody Mary meal was Amazing. Great little place.

We had an excellent lunch which was the Merkt’s Burger (Burger of the Month) and we highly suggest you give it a try. It was cooked to perfection as were my French Fries! Even the salad we ordered with the second Burger was AWESOME!! Their homemade Ranch dressing makes you want to drink a glass of it!! To top it off it was $7 Burger Wednesday!! Bruce and Sarah are doing an excellent job in their endeavors as bar owners!!! My suggestion is that you get out and try this Burger before it’s gone!! Excellent job,way to go!!
