This is one of those places where your money is well spent despite what your financial status may be. I know I won’t be coming here often, but at least I know this place will be part of my favorites for as long as they keep up the good work with the food. Today was my first visit ever after knowing about this place for a few years now. Today was also my mother’s 58th birthday, and she had been nagging me for some good BBQ for a while. I decided this would be part of her birthday surprise.

I had very high expectations to begin with. I had a combo plate with pulled pork and tritip. For sides I chose the Mac and cheese and the potato salad. Garlic toast was my choice for the bread option and mild for the BBQ sauce. I’ll start with what I didn’t like … I didn’t like the price point, I didn’t feel like $26 was a fair price for what I ordered. To justify that price point, everything had to be spot on. The garlic toast was not good at all. I took one bite and had no more. A complete waste of calories and carbs in my opinion. The meats I chose were okay … some pieces were dry but I had a couple of bites that left me optimistic on a potential “next time”. Now for what I liked! The portion size on the sides is generous and (more importantly) both were very yummy. The Mac and cheese was the clear winner but I still polished off most of that potato salad as well! The barbecue sauce is stellar … definitely the saving grace for this place. Good enough for me to try it again but I’ll give it a bit of time. When paying that much for takeout … I’m definitely expecting a bit more.

One of the best and most authentic Texas BBQ joints in the San Fernando Valley. Highly recommend the brisket that is so buttery. The tri-tip is very juicy and flavorful. The pork ribs is so tender and falls off the bone. I normally don’t put to much BBQ sauce on my meats but slathering their spicy sauce is a must. Tip: the online menu is not updated. If you’re picking up, make sure to call them since they have more great menu options available.

Great bbq… One of the best I’ve had. My only complaint was no fresh brewed tea. That is a staple in all great bbq joints. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will come back the next time I’m in town

First time here and I would not be coming back, it was a total rip off. For 80 bucks the amount of food you get is just absolutely ridiculous, the two item plate looked just like a one item with the amount of meat you get, it was lacking in flavor so you must depend on the sauce entirely to give it any, the only good thing(s) I enjoyed was the cornbread since it wasn’t too bad, and the garlic mashed potatoes, other than that I do not recommend this place at all

Gave it a 2nd try.still just ok.but not worth $23 for a generic tasting brisket sandwich and a water. It was tender, but had an oven cooked taste hit with very little smoke.

I love this ribs at this place! They so good. Great smoky flavor. I’m not much of a tritip or brisket guy so I won’t be a good reference there. I just love I was able to find a bbq place where the food actually taste like real bbq.

Great BBQ meats served dry with tons of great BBQ sauce options to top them with if that’s your jam. We got the 3 meat combo to split and had plenty of food for 2 people. The brisket was especially good, but the pulled pork and baby back ribs were also excellent. The combo also comes with two sides (we got Cole slaw and potato salad both of which were tasty!) and either garlic toast or corn bread muffins. Definitely worth stopping by. Everything is served to go, but there is a little outdoor area with chairs and tables where you can eat. They even give you paper plates with the meal.
