My friend and I ate dinner at the bar and had a wonderful experience! I’m not sure the bartenders name, she’s blonde with beautiful nails and is always so kind and accomodating. She really makes sure we’re enjoying our food and evening. And the FOOD! Delicious… I like to cook gourmet meals at home and usually think it’s better than what restaurants serve, but this place blew me out of the water! I got the beet salad with grilled chicken, it came with fresh-baked bread & rosemary butter. My friend got the mushroom risotto – everything was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was edible, however I won’t be itching to go back. The calamari was different, it was served hot and garlicky with seaweed salad on it, very strange. Our burgers were done how we requested, but the brussels sprouts were over sweet like they were tossed around in maple syrup. My husband did enjoy the clam chowder, bread and butter were very good also…

New Year’s Eve special menu was to die for. I didn’t get a picture of the clam chowder because I ate it so quickly, but it was phenomenal. The staff even dressed for a 20s theme. Amazing 🙂

Seriously one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my entire life. The tuna sashimi appetizer set the stage, and the meal continued to get greater and greater as we went on. No one will ever have a better Delmonico than you can get here. We paired it with the cauliflower risotto, green beans, sweet potato, and brussel sprouts. My only complaint would be that I was way too full to try the dessert.

Appetizer and dessert were delicious(Cigar and White Chocolate Raspberry bread pudding). Main courses were okay. My husband ordered the steak stroganoff, the meat was very fatty and there was just a pool of grease in his bowl. My lobster Mac and cheese was okay. It lacked flavor. Our waitress was nice though we had to remind her of waters a few times. Overall we had nice experience.

My wife and I are here for Valentine’s Day. This is our first time here. The waitress was fantastic, dinner was excellent. Dessert was just as good. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of our dinner but I will share dessert. So if you find yourself near Morris, IL. this restaurant is a definite must try, we highly recommend Morris Chop Shop.

I used to enjoy eating here but it has gone down hill. Fairly high pricing for slow service and just decent food. My friends and I were there a total of two hours. Service was incredibly slow from drinks to our food. The table behind us received their food before us even though they arrived a while after us. They were served some of our food and we heard them send it back. So again, we continued to wait for our food. The waitress claimed the dish was new and made fresh but why did Mac and cheese have a mixture of Penne and spaghetti noodles in it? Is this how it comes? My other friend also received the wrong pasta order.
