We came in about 30 minutes after open. The floors were sticky, the pop machine looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a week. In fact I believe I got a bug in my Mt. Dew. The Fry’s were also soggy and bland. The guy taking the order spoke to softly to hear well. Bad experience.

Surprisingly the did was good considering how the place is not clean and the cook that I had was dirty and he kept putting the food close to his dirty apron. He should not have had the food in his hands long enough for that to happen.

UPDATE 7/25/23…received a phone call from a gentleman named Keith Calvin from Penn Station last evening to get additional information and background on our experience from 7/23. What a guy, he was sympathetic to the situation and understood our concerns. We had a great 10 minute conversation and I must say because he took the initiative to follow up made with me made quite a difference in my overall opinion of the store and I’m looking forward to going back when time permits to enjoy their wonderful sandwiches. Shout out to the service at the window. The man told me to be careful bc the fries were hot. I guess he knew I was gonna stick my hand in the bag to snag one Also, my artichoke sub was yummy and the fries were still hot & crispy when I got home. I haven’t been to Penn Station in a while due to the quality of food the last time. I’m glad I tried again.

Sat for 25 minutes before food was even served. I would rather have gone to a restaurant for the amount of money I paid and have gotten my food faster. This is a “fast food” style restaurant but the fast part was severely lacking. Then they serve one persons food but not the rest of the table. So your group is done before you get your food and you feel like you need to rush. Oh and the fries came AFTER the rest of the food. Definitely room for improvement.

I love Penn Station, but last time I was there I got a little turned off. The young man that handed me my order had dirt under his nails like he worked on a car. I’ve noticed that at a couple of other restaurants lately. I think this society is lacking and not insisting on clean food prep practices.
