Great neighborhood restaurant. I sent with a traditional Ceasar salad and a chicken parmigiana with a glass of house red. Nate the best bartender in DC; old school and very attentive. Went back for the lasagna and added the bolognese sauce. Mama Mia!

This is a nice quaint resturant located in a strip mall with outdoor dining. We were seated fast. Our server was new but he was friendly and tried hard. He made good suggestions and knew the menu. The cocktails were aces! One of the best dirty martinis I’ve ever had and I’m a martini connoisser. The food was delicious and well prepared. This restaurant is a gem and the price point is excellent. A great value for the portion size and food quality. I can’t wait to come back again when I’m in the DC area.

My friend was sick, in the hospital, we thought he might not make it. My job was to clean his house, which was a formidable mess. He hadn’t gone out very much during Covid. When people came by he didn’t answer the door. All of his food and supplies were delivered to the door. It’s like the presence of the epidemic was wrapping him inside a dark cocoon.

As a nearby resident, I have eaten at Sal’s at least a dozen times since the pandemic began. Sal’s is simply one of the best neighborhood restaurants imaginable. Their service is routinely excellent as are almost all of their dishes. My favorites include the scrumptious cauliflower, lasagna, mussels, and the bolognese. The tiramisu is also a standout.
