This was the first place I tried when I was looking for Valentine’s Day reservations and I lucked out getting bar seats. Wife was a bit put off at first when she saw the big screen tv replaying AFC championship and Super Bowl but after we got seated and had the food it was all forgiven. We were adventurous and tried the escargot, was not what I expected in a good way. Our servers were very attentive and made the night very special. It was a longer evening than we anticipated but well worth it!

Absolutely amazing restaurant! I make sure to go every time I visit from Pittsburgh. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere has great vibes, and everyone is so friendly. One of my favorites is their pork chop dinner; best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life! The French onion soup is always a must have and their desserts are fantastic. Thank you Ville Sainte Bistro!

This is the first time we have been here and oh.my.God. I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. We had so.much.food. And it was allllll sooooo good! Lobster, french onion soup, poutine, steak, crab cakes….even the french fries and potatoes were just SO GOOD! And the créme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had! If you haven’t been here, you need to go!

3 tables of 4. Waited 45 mins for entree. Service was attentive and pleasant. French onion soup was like old dishwater.flounder arrived virtually uncooked. Giant sports tv in the middle of the dining room. These people are living in an alternate reality. The prices are downtown prices for a lower( way lower) than average meal. One and dine

Three of us went for dinner last night. Our bill was 382.00. We’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. I ordered the soft shell crab. One was 24. Two for 48.00. The crabs were probably 2 ounces each. I should have sent it back. It was an outrageous price. We told the waiter and someone came out of the kitchen and told us they were the only crabs they had at the dock?? That wasn’t my issue. If you thought they were too small, don’t serve them or at least make the dish worth 48.00. Anyway, they didn’t care and charged us full price. In addition, they were salty and served with something that was supposed to be succatash. Very disappointed and will not be returning. I don’t mind paying for something, but I want my money’s worth. Lost our business. Sorry I didn’t take a picture.

This place is amazing if you are looking for a special meal. The staff is friendly and will gladly offer suggestions or just make small talk. The bread is indescribable, it is that good. The entrées are seasoned, plated, and portioned to perfection. Each dish is obviously cooked to order and made from fresh ingredients. As fans of French cuisine, we have eaten at most French restaurants in the Charleston area and this is at the top of our list.

Nothing more frustrating then businesses that arbitrarily decide to change their operating hours, not being the least bit concerned of how that affects their customers.

French onion soup was great, the founder fishy, the escargot and scallops good but heavy on the oil and butter. The atmosphere could use some warming up. The waiter was nice. Happy we checked it out but eating in Charleston is more of a sure bet for quality and the same or less cost.

Wow! We just discovered this spot and wish we had known about it when it opened in Mount Pleasant in February 2014 – we could have been dining at it all this time! My husband and I are huge fans of France and authentic French food, so when we heard about a local restaurant where the chef had grown up in Paris and a family farm just outside of Paris, we couldn’t wait to try it. The chef’s husband, Mark, works the front of the house while she cooks, so it’s a family affair – and Mark himself is delightful. His recommendations were great and both the atmosphere and the food were superb. My husband had the goat cheese salad, chicken provencale, and a blond beer (a Leffe from Belgium); I had a coffee with cream, the escargot, seared duck, and the house red, a French Malbec. Everything from beginning to end was absolutely delicious but both of us gave especially high marks to the escargot – just perfectly done. We will definitely be back. Merci beaucoup, Mark et Carole!
