Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.

My kids tried the chicken tenders and weren’t impressed. The fries were fresh and tasty. My skinny berry eegee was good, but the orange dream flavor of the month was yummy! We would return for the eegee drinks but not the chicken.

Loving the new color scheme of the restaurants now. Easy to spot coming off the freeway. Has a small parking lot so if there’s a line in the drive thru could make it an issue to park. Place is made out of a storage container. Seating area is kind of small but has big roll up garage doors to open up for fresh air or to open up seating area. Employees are nice, food came out relatively fast and they are not stingy with their ranch cups!. Always ask if there are any special drinks they have besides the flavor of the month. After ordering and waiting for our food saw a sign about a bear down flavor for march madness. It was strawberry and blue raspberry (1/2 red/blue) so Had to go back to order it. Was really good and blue raspberry should be a flavor on its own! Happy they are doing specials like that. Nice clean place to grab a refreshing drink or an order of their ranch fries!

I did a web order. I came when it said. It wasn’t ready and the employee I spoke to just left me standing outside in the heat for 30 min. Then I Knocked on the window and said its hot! Then about 10 min later, a guy brought out my 1 sandwich. And some fries. Now i just go to the drive thru.

Many things have changed since it was sold to a new owner. Everything from the bread to their infamous Eegee drinks. Their pastrami tastes like bologna and you don’t have much of a choice in bread. Oh and last but not least they’re horribly over priced.

Try an eegee and you will LOVE it! I had the Pina Colada and my wife had one with stevia or truvia. I hadn’t been in years as they don’t have them in Texas but Eegee’s has food and YES, amazing french fries. Go and be satisfied!
