Traveled from out of state for the drag races at Eddyville Raceway and found this gem of a restaurant called Melody’s Kitchen. The minute we sat down at a table next to a husband, wife, and their mother, we felt welcomed. They told us all about the community. The wait staff was just as welcoming. Going on was a high school reunion with professional karaoke and people having fun. I had a jalepeno bacon cheeseburger that was outstanding. The french fries and buttermilk ranch dipping sauce was the best I have ever had. My friends had a bloody mary and philly cheesesteak. Everything was made from scratch and homemade. We were able to meet Melody and she even sent us back to the hotel with pork tenderloin and sides for the next day at the race track. Definitely a family vibe restaurant with the best homemade food. Thank you Melody and staff. We will be back next time we are in Eddyville.

If you leave here hungry, you must have just had water. Wife had a BLT and it had to be 4 inches high!! My tenderloin could have cut it in thirds and got 2 more buns.

Good food produced by a good staff at a good price. They manage to keep me coming back. If my mama didn’t live in town it would be my favorite eating joint in Eddyville however they are definitely a very close 2nd. Melody’s cooking is an artwork and Rowdy is one helluva bartender. The ambiance of the building and it’s beer garden utilizes all the crucial idiosyncrasies of an articulate sense of feng shui.
