I went to Saluki Bar today (Tuesday) at 5:00pm. As you can imagine, there were very few patrons there and they were not busy. Still, it took 30 minutes for my order (1lb of traditional wings). Even after waiting half an hour, the chicken wasn’t even fresh!! When I got the wings at the window, I asked the cook what took so long and he replied, “I just got here”. The wings obviously were old and had been refried and he just slapped sauce on them to make them appear fresh. The chicken was so dry and hard and shriveled up, I couldn’t even finish eating them: After waiting so long And starving I didn’t even feel like complaining about it. I guess they only serve quality food during their peak business hours. A waste of my time and money.

It it Thursday night and I paid $7 dollars to play rap songs. Once my song played the bartender turned our music down and said to “Only play county music tonight.” This not advertised but it seemed completely odd because others that enjoyed my song choice were confused, so others had no idea as well. The bartender (Milan) skipped my song and made us go back to county. So essentially I lost my money. The service was great from Sarah but the music change and forcing me to wait my money was horrible.

People of age can’t get served here on a slow Tuesday night. I stood at the bar for 15 minutes, debit card in hand, waiting to be served. The “bartender” served several questionably young people repeatedly and acted as if I wasn’t there. Should have left it as Callahan’s, Saluki bar’s worn out, barely functional pool table is an accurate reflection of this joke of an establishment.

Not bad. Not great. I used to go to Underground all the time but they changed a lot so I’ve been frequenting here instead. Prices aren’t bad, it gets a little cramped, saw a girl pee in the bathroom sink, but that’s not Saluki’s fault. Sometimes you’ll get ignored by the bartenders while they check their Facebook, but you win some you lose some.

Horrible service, Asian bartender was extremely rude. Waited an hour and a half for an order that I never received. When I asked for a refund was told to come back another day. Never have had such terrible service; staff is entirely unprofesional and acts like children. I will never go back here the rest of my time in Carbondale.

Not really a great experience in my opinion. Weren’t prepared for such a large crowd on their wing special night and the wait staff were not very helpful and didn’t explain things very well. Ex.We had to open a tab to order food like we were drinking at the bar but we were seated at a table but this wasn’t explained very well so when we said no to, “Do you wanna open a tab.” Then we tried to order food it was a confusing back and forth. We then asked for to-go boxes and they didn’t have any. Just all around a weird place with sub-par communication and staff. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Not good, not bad, a college bar in a hick town. If you’re over 25 and don’t feel up to catching HPV, there are better spots. However, if you’re between 21 and 25, you’ll have a great time.

The ditzy no education cashiers they have completely ripped off my friends and I. This has happened to much without anyone acknowledging the source of the problem. Hire new people because the ones you have are using the job as their hustling play ground. Watch your change because they are definitely are, straight to their pockets.
