We re-visited and now I can say they deserve a full 5 Star rating. The food this time around was exceptional. 3 tacos out of 4 were awesome, the milanesa was not so good. But…I did tell the waitress and they were nice enough to replace w other taco, different meat, no additional charge. Margaritas great. Service ok. I definitely recommend this restaurant now. Prompts to the current cook meats really soft, well seasoned. Will re-visit again sooon.

This isn’t some Texmex me-too place…we’re talking authentic native Mexican food on the menu. Of course, if Texmex is your preference you can get that too but the authenticity of the native Mexican dishes is what sets this place apart. Oh yeah, the salsa verde caliente is to die for. Come here, you won’t regret it.

Me and my kids decided to go to taqueria arandas on a Sunday night. It’s been a while since I ate there and I always remembered the food being so delicious. We were greeted and given a choice where to sit. She took our drinks and left. Another lady brought out drinks and took our order. Never saw the lady that took our drinks in the beginning again. Our food came out and it was not good, also she forgot to bring us some items. Never saw anyone again after that. No one asked for refills, no one asked if we were doing ok, no one asked if we needed our ticket, no one asked us anything the whole time we were there after our food was brought out. We didn’t even worry about what was missing we just knew to check the receipt to make sure they didn’t charge us for these items. Meanwhile every table around us was being helped consistently. So I got up and asked front receptionist for to go boxes and place and order to go for my husband (To go food was also disappointing). On the final receipt they had items on there I didn’t even order, they fixed that. Food was not authentic at all like it use to be. I speak Spanish and my kids don’t and originally when we were ordering our drinks my kids starting ordering in English and I told them let me just order for them and I feel like this is why that original lady that took our order for the drinks never came back and we were never helped during our time we were there. Very disappointing.

So I ordered the California burrito and OMG that thing was huge. The bad is it didn’t have nearly enough meat to counter the over abundance of everything else in the burrito. It was like the meat wasn’t even in it. Taquitos also were ordered and although taquitos is something different I guess on the west coast these were more like street tacos but were very good.

Can’t go wrong with Arandas! The service was great! The ladies were super nice and attentive. The food was delicious as well and was pleasantly surprised that they offered handmade flour tortillas! This is the first location that I’ve seen that.
