Absolutely fantastic food. Everything is incredibly fresh. Food was incredible. The owner came out and spoke to us as well. She was more than happy to provide recommendations. They have plenty of options for people who are gluten free and vegan as well! Highly would recommend this place. The Sorrel/Zobo hibiscus and the ginger drink are handmade as well and very refreshing. Will absolutely be returning.

I was absolutely blown away by this place! I have been wanting to go for a while and tonight my friend and I stopped by, curious to try some African dishes. I had contacted them beforehand to make sure I’d be able to eat there as I’m gluten free. I had the recommended okra and fufu, my friend got the curried cabbage. And let me tell you the dishes were DELICIOUS. Not only that but we both had some of their hand made juices and were thoroughly impressed with how tasty those were too! The owner Tina was even there and talked with us. She seriously is the SWEETEST woman. Honestly everyone there was really friendly and welcoming to us. She brought some of their hot sauce to our table, and warned us before trying it. She was right to because it was very spicy, but also super flavorful. I definitely ate way more with my food than I should have but didn’t regret it!! She was even kind enough to give my friend and I some hot sauce to take home. Needless to say, I can’t recommend this place enough and I will definitely be back!! I already have some more dishes lined up I’m looking forward to trying. The only thing I would change for next time and that I would say to do is BRING CASH. I paid with my card and Tina never gave me an option to tip, so I didn’t get to tip at all. Next time I go I’m bringing extra with me to make up for this time because I definitely owe a generous tip from this experience. Thank you to Tina and your wonderful staff!!

The food was very fresh and delicious! Authentic recipes and African spices. The owner and her daughter were very nice and welcoming! The Resturant itself has more of a homey feel which was very comforting. The prices were affordable and the portions were generous. I tried the dry fish with ugali and kachumbari, chapati and dengu, and the nyama choma with ugali and kachumbari with their hot pepper on the side. The flavors all went so well together! The pepper added on an amazing hot spice with tasty flavor. I will 100% be back. I recommend to anyone who comes across this Resturant. 11/10.

My husband is Kenyan, and we haven’t been able to travel back for some time now. We were so happy to find this place, the food is sooooo authentic and was a taste of home. Highly recommend!!! Their beef stew was fantastic and chapati and samosa too.

Our first time having Kenyan food and it was excellent. The juice was outstanding. Cheif Tina gave us recommendations after asking what we liked. We started with the beef Samosas. Then I had the spicy goat. My husband has the wet fish. The food was cooked to perfection and the portions were large. I am going to tell my friends and family to go there and am going back soon!

After wanting to have some authentic African food for a few months and not being able to drive to Philly, I finally decided to keep it local and try this place, we started with the samosas, beef and chickpeas, both were delicious, then ordered the fried red snapper which my parents have been eating since kids, they really enjoyed it. I found that surprising since they are very critical. The fufu was a first for us and I could not eat enough of it, very filling and it paired perfectly with the spinach and any other sauce, unfortunately the fish was not the best choice for it, fortunately for me I ordered the Egusi which went perfectly with my fufu, so good I ordered another one to go and share at home. The hot pepper was very potent but added a little extra kick to my meal. The chapati and Dengu was the closer on this cold day with yet a bit more of that special hot pepper sauce. Do not leave without trying some of the juices! Loved the experience and another great surprise was the Pilau rice which my wife got to rave over once we got home. Thank you Ms. Tina for the meal and the attention, felt like home and can’t wait to go back.

If you are looking for authentic Kenyan food then this is the right place for you. The food is flavourful and the portions are generous. Tina has mastered the execution of both phenomenal service and outstanding food. She caters to every customer’s needs and everytime I visit, she knows what I like. My favorite dishes are the nyama choma and matumbo wet with collard greens. This place is vegan friendly so don’t be deterred. I would recommend this place!!

AMAZING FOOD, been looking in the area for awhile for an amazing African Soul Food spot. We decided to stop by and order! Amazing friendly staff, and delicious savory food. I ordered the redsnapper, and my fiance ordered the curry goat and fufu. Both plates were delicious. Highly recommended for an authentic mix of Kenyan and Nigerian cuisine. Will be back.
