Today is our first time trying Mahaney’s located in Windsor, CT. It is very close to Windsor Locks which is convenient to Bradley airport. We were greeted by the lady in the restaurant as we entered. We were given menus and noticed that there were plenty of dishes to choose from. We decided to each order a Harvest omelet which was a specialty omelet. It contained cheddar cheese with mushrooms, spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, broccoli, tomatoes and broccoli! This dish was served with home fries and buttered toast. My husband substituted his home fries with a fresh fruit bowl of bananas, grapes, honeydew melon and cantalope.

The environment is welcoming and comfortable for takeout as well as dine-in eating. The food is and has been consistently very good. I have tried breakfast options as well as lunch options, and everything has been above par. The steak and cheese pita combo, breakfast sandwiches, and open plate options as well are all consistently very good!! Also the restaurant is quaint, clean and well kept up with an original sandwich shop vibe!

Stopped here for a quick breakfast. I definitely wasn’t dissapointed. I got the western omelet with sausage added. It was cooked perfectly. The home fries were golden brown and the toast was buttered to perfection. If I were a local I would definitely come back!

Two stars because the food was adequate, nothing special wasn’t horrible; the menu is a shame it states “hand made 6oz beef patties” clearly frozen patties appeared to be 4oz (1/4 lb) patties; wife had a club which came with 3pc toast, mayo, lett, tom, cheese, and ham. We were told cheese was extra and it was of course missing bacon and turkey. This was a fat ham sandwich not a club. This is definitely a place you could see on ‘Restaurant Impossible’. I wouldn’t recommend. If you question the waitress confronts the cook and it appears to cause conflict. Seems to be husband/wife team.
