This is a lovely mom-and-pop type restaurant! I love the chill atmosphere and friendly employees. The food was delicious and came out fast on hot plates. Definitely will go back to try different foods!

Amazing! The pancakes are huge and delicious. I usually think pancakes are pretty much the same everywhere, but these were really good. They were so big we could have ordered just one for each of the kids and had plenty.

I love a good diner! The skillet was awesome and there is so much food! My leftovers were great the next day. We’ll definitely eat there again.

Let me start by saying the service was excellent. Our waitress was on her game. I had the biscuits and gravy breakfast and I would eat it again. The gravy was good, but the biscuit was excellent. Fresh and fluffy, with a rich buttery flavor. My daughter had a three meat omelette and while it wasn’t her favorite the bite I had was good. Only two things could have been better. The lemonade was the cheap fountain type and the hash browns missed the mark. Mine were good, but my daughters tasted burnt.

Village cafe in lake St. Louis is the best place I’ve found for breakfast!! I have not had lunch there yet but it has to be the same !! Always greet quickly and seated! Very clean and the food is very good and quick you can be in and out in an hour if you sit around and visit with your breakfast mate . All those other breakfast places you hear about had NOTHING!! On village cafe !! Give them a try you will not be disappointed !!

We went in for a Father’s day brunch. The good thing is that they take reservations. We were seated promptly on arrival. But we had to wait over an hour to get our food. What really threw me off is that the check was presented before I had even taken a bite out of my food. That was very rude. I understand that the restaurant was packed, but at the very least they should have waited until we finished our food. Food was acceptable. An 18% gratuity was tacked on because we were a larger group. I probably won’t be going back.

My daughter loves her Belgian waffle and I even get lunch sandwiches for breakfast since they are just too good not to get even at 7am! Especially the chicken bacon ranch melt! Must try. Friendliest staff too.

The food was delicious but the experience was lacking. It seemed there was only one server for the restaurant this past Sunday. She was great but of course things were slow. The menus were dirty and sticky. We didn’t get our silverware until 15 minutes after our food arrived and half of it was dirty. We were missing half our food until we almost left. Other tables around us had missing orders as well. Everything was sticky. The coffee cups were old stained cracked target mugs. I just wasn’t impressed unfortunately. It’s a shame because the food was so good and staff were really sweet. The kitchen seemed very unorganized.

Food was fast and fresh. Delicious biscuits and gravy along with French toast. The waitress was wonderful with our table of 6. We were there for our Men’s Group and she didn’t bug us but always made sure we had what we needed.
