Simple menu, quiet but some nice view of the lake. The parking lot was full so we thought it would be more full inside, but it wasn’t that busy. More parking in back in the shred lot. I can’t imagine how packed the lot would be if the restaurant was full. Food came quick.

I really had high hopes for this local chain. I was excited to see someone opened up at this location. No complaints about service, the menu was just a little limited but they do have bbq. We didn’t try the ribs or brisket but I wished we had. We had the western burger and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. The butter milk chicken itself was huge and delicious. The bun was hard and the shredded lettuce was messy and detracted from the great chicken. The burger was a 6oz burger, a little small and didn’t feel like we got a good value for our money. The western burger was tasty but nothing that would bring me back. Fries are not standard and a dollar more.

Smoked walleye cakes and smoked chicken wings (sesame) are unique and worth going back for. Ribeye steak was also delicious. Cocktail and wine were not as good as the food.

We tried hodge lodge for the first time. The service was excellent. I splurged and had the special which was halibut. The fish was well done and it came with risotto.

I am Mr. Outboard, look by the bar when you arrive,you will see our contribution (vintage Outboard) to a great Husband wife team who own Hodge’s. Last night we had the fish special and Ribs. The ribs were as good as it gets! Lots of meat. The corn bread was hot wonderful as everything was. Our go to place? Absolutely! The menu is expanding too. The atmosphere? Quiet quiet quite! If you want a place that you cannot hear yourself think go to the Old Red Depot Bldg. Oh breakfast is great. love the caramelized French toast.

Pecan crusted Walleye was amazing! Flacky crust, buttery sauce, firm asparagus, & real mashed potatoes. To Chef Cody- 10/10 service for accommodation, 10/10 presentation, needed a little salt (but that is personal preference). Bartender Justin- 10/10 for attentiveness, conversation- pulling multiple customers in to build community, spot on for drink knowledge, even made his own simple syrup.

Hodge Lodge was a wonderful experience for my family and me. My grandma has terminal stomach cancer and has a liquid only diet. Kyle, our server, and one of the owners came over to help us figure out something grandma could eat. They whole kitchen staff put their minds together and made her a little buffet of liquid only foods. Everyone was so kind and caring. Thank you, Hodge Lodge, for making the visit special. You’ve only been open a week and a half and you already have loyal customers.

The smoked BBQ brisket is delicious along with smoked chicken wings and deviled eggs. The service is very good with the food coming out hot and in a timely manner. The price is a little higher than what I would like but the food is worth it.
