The black eye peas use to be real the kind you buy in the bag not a can. Now they are hard with what taste like vinegar in it. The string beans and the rice and gravy was ok. Not enough of rice the liver was really thin and not salt and pepper on the gravy. The muffin has even changed. I loved them before but for the prices I expect home cook ed soul food

Although I had to wait for my second piece of chicken, my fried chicken was awesome. The spices they use are very good. Darned delicious. I mean, the spices are better than that chain restaurant with the colonel. Couldn’t wait to eat that second piece for dinner. Server great, just one late piece of chicken. But I’ll be back definitely. Maybe tomorrow. Yum

I had the Turkey wings with green beans and cabbage; the vegetables were seasoned pretty good, jus a tad bit salty and the turkey wings weren’t that seasoned but the way it was baked, it blended well with the corn muffin and veggies

First time eating here today! Overall 3/5 I have no clue what was up with the macaroni. I’m not sure if it wasn’t baked all the way, there were clumps of cheese and cream cheese. (Not sure if they use cream cheese, but that’s what it looked like). Otherwise I didn’t eat the macaroni but the yams and fried shrimp were so good!!!!

My wife and I enjoyed our meals. She had the liver and onions. I enjoyed the oxtails.. The Mac and Cheese was awesome. Lemonade was thirst quenching. Outstanding Service.

There was a 25-minute wait on the order. The macaroni and cheese was extremely salty, but overall, the food was hot and fairly good.

I had the 2 piece white chicken dinner with fried corn and macaroni and cheese.. We reserved a table online .. best to do if dining in searing area is very limited. Chicken was hot but not seasoned at all. Had to use the hot sauce to give some type of flavor. Fried corn was okay and could have been cooked longer . Macaroni and cheese was better but again not seasoned. It was very busy and disorganized. Dining in area very small and limited . The bakery goods next door had limited selections .. the lemon cupcake was the highlight of my meal .

Tucked in the corner of Daniel village shopping center is this amazing home cooked gem . Arrived before the crowds on Sunday and quickly saw the restaurant fill up with people waiting for tables or to go orders . Upon my own food arriving I quickly learned why. Will definitely make another stop in the future. I had the fried chicken , collards and Mac & cheese.

Went here on a recommendation, average at best. My bill was outrageous, $20 for this, NOPE. Burger was an institutional patty that was not seasoned. Crinkle fries were frozen from a bag. Ketchup and mayo were the cheapest packages on the market and tasted as such. Keylime cake was good but tasted like it was Pillsbury or Duncan Hines box cake. Perhaps other items on the menu are better, would be hard-pressed to return. Did witness the table next to me return some sort of smothered dish that was burned.

In between NFL games in Charlotte & Atlanta, we stopped in Augusta between games/cities.
