My family & I have been coming to San Remo for 15+ years. During this time, we’ve never had a bad meal, never been mistreated by the staff, & none of us has even gotten sick. Have we waited for a table with a reservation? Yes, on a holiday, or at 7:30pm on a busy Saturday night. A few weeks ago, we witnessed a gentleman verbally abuse the hostess, because his table wasn’t ready when he thought it should have been. She kept her cool, & did her best to accommodate him. On the flip side, we’ve met a lot of really nice people here. The environment lends itself to being very social. The food is consistently excellent, & the staff has always gone out of their way to ensure that we have a positive dining experience.

Upscale low-key (if that is possible). Not a lot of airs about this place, just great food, great service and BYOB. Reminds me of many spots in the Village or Little Italy. The food is delicious and ambience very comfortable. It is a regular for us and there is rarely a wait. Should be far more popular than it is. And I am kinda happy about that as I can always get a table, even on a Friday night! They do take reservations, if you want to be on the safe side.

Have eaten at San Remo for over 20 years, but last night will be the last time. Had a 6:30 PM reservation, were seated about 6:50 PM. Appetizers came out in a reasonable time, but the main dishes did not start to come out until 8:25 PM, which was totally unacceptable. When we asked to speak with a manager, they sent over a waiter from another area of the restaurant to speak with us…..what a joke !! Our waiter, Anthony was great and kept us informed of the progress from the kitchen. There were 7 of us, and 2 of the main dishes were not correct. The food was okay but not up to what we have had in the past. People at the table next to us, who were seated at the same time we were, left at 8:30 PM because they did even receive their appetizers. San Remo has gone Down Hill.

This was quite possibility one of the worst dining experiences ever in the history of dining out!!!! The service was awful, we had 8 o’clock dinner reservations and did not get seated till almost 9pm. Our server got both of our meals wrong, the bread was not fresh and tasted like cardboard! ! The food was terrible it was a total nightmare! Totally mismanaged and the chef is awful!!!I could give it zero stars I would!!!! Stay away!!!

HORRIBLE! My boyfriend and I went to San Remo to celebrate our anniversary together. Our reservation was for 8:30pm, and we got there 10 minutes early. It was very busy and it took us 20 minutes for the hostess to even talk to us! She explained to us that it was very busy so we would have to wait since there were people waiting before us, which is fine and understandable. Within 20 minutes all of the people who were waiting before us were sat down and we were next. She told us that 3 tables had paid already and they were just waiting for them to leave.

This was the worst experience ever. Had a reservation at 7:30 .We ordered our food at 745 and as of 9:10pm we still didn’t get our food. The waiter kept coming out and telling us our food will be right out. Finally at 915 they brought out 2 entrees and they weren’t even ours. The experience was so bad we walked out!! I will never go back their.

The food here is pretty good. There is usually a wait, but definitely worth it. I used to eat at the old location in Shrewsbury when I was younger, it was my grandmother’s favorite restaurant in the area. Now with the new location in Red Bank, I made a visit with my fiancé. The atmosphere has still maintained its elegancy. BYOB keeps the price down. We met Chef Giovanni, such a great and funny personality. Can’t wait to come back!
