As first generation Italian I am all about finding a great Italian deli.A friend suggested I try this place. Well I had company and decided to get a 3ft Italian Hero. I picked it up at 3:45pm because they close by 4pm. Wish I would have opened it before leaving. It was all bread! Thin slice of ham, cheese and salami. They were cut so thin and barely any lettuce and tomato. So disappointed. Never again! Oh and I paid $59.. ridiculous

I’ve been going here since it was in the old location and it was great. I went back while visiting my parents and the quality definitely dropped. I also ordered a sandwich with grilled chicken, mozz, and roasted red peppers and they forgot to add the chicken. I went back and unapologetically handed me a new sandwich without roasted red peppers. I called them and they just hung up. Mediocre quality, worse service.

I have been coming to Nonna Clementina since I was in high school over 10 years ago. I love the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which I just had this morning. I also love the mozzarella, chicken cutlet and roasted red peppers sandwiches. The staff is very hard working and trust me when I say there is a reason Massimo has kept this icon of a deli around so long in Closter! Great quality food and staff. This is a must visit!

Pretty awful customer service. Why I still chose to drive all the way here and still give them my business is beyond me. Called and was put on hold for 15 mins. Instead of picking up the phone and offering to help me after this obnoxious hold, she hangs up the phone without saying a word. When she hung up, I was already pulling into the parking lot. I came in to find out why I was left on hold for 15 mins and she told me “oh I’m busy.” Meanwhile her and another guy are literally just standing at the case. Doing absolutely nothing. Not one car in the parking lot. The phone wasn’t ringing. Nothing was happening. No sorry for the awful customer service, nothing. She just didn’t care one bit. I could go anywhere. So many places to buy or order lunch. I will never step foot in this establishment nor will I spend my hard earned money here ever again. The first thing should be giving good customer service…fail.
