Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

This location has yet to let me down. Busy place when I visit but have patience. Plenty of meat on the grinder. Like the fact that the meat is cut in front of you unlike the other subway shop I used to go to. I had The Number Four on my last visit. The cashier was kind enough to remind me that I had a free sandwich coming but decided to let my points rack up.

I was asked by a coworker if I wanted to try Jersey Mike’s today for lunch, so I said yeah what the heck. I ordered the number 13 which is the Italian combo with everything on it and boy is it delicious. I will definitely be visiting this place again. Thanks Jersey Mike’s for a great grinder!

Once again I went into jersey mikes only customer in the place waited 10 minutes while staff just walked back and forth. One staff was actually getting herself a soda. Not one made acknowledgement we where there. The service sucks on Washington St in middletown. Ended up walking out! Staff are RUDE!

Ordered a Buffalo chicken cheesesteak, got a cheesesteak with no hot sauce in it at all. Having used my lunch break to get this, I decided to just eat it anyway. 2 bites in I got a small chunk of bone. Whatever, it happens. However on the very next bite I got a wad of paper towel that was inside my sandwich. DISGUSTING. Do better.

Getting a sub that isn’t their choice of toppings is almost impossible at Jersey Mike’s. It took me 3 different locations until this one got it right, kind of. The problem is, they are robots, they have their production line mentality but are only trained to do it their way with their ingredients. 3 people handled my sandwich before it was done, try to get mayo on both sides of the bread, it’s near impossible. If you ask for oil & Vinegar, they drowned it and it falls apart, at least thats what Glastonbury did, and then can’t fix it. Rocky Hill had the first guy give to second guy who put the mayo on one side and 2 of my 5 toppings, the second guy had to dump my topping on the counter to make sure the first guy put mayo on the other side before adding the rest of my toppings. Its a clown show. Try making sandwiches as humans and not robots and remember, its the customers sandwich, make it the way they want.

It took like, 3 minutes for someone to acknowledge me when I walked in to pick up a mobile order, because it was packaged wrong, but they were busy, which is fine, I get it. The reason they’re only getting 3 stars is because I had to go back because my sub was made wrong, and like, idk, maybe DONT call your customers liars, even when you’re talking amongst yourselves, loud enough for said customer to hear?

Ordered the simple ham and provolone cold sub online and requested no onion and no tomato. Workers think they are cute by putting ONLY onions and tomatoes on my grinder. So I got ham, provolone, onions and tomatoes. I won’t be back.

I took my friend in here and we were instantly greeted and had a great conversation with the employees while they were quickly and carefully making our food. Really really good experience every time I go here. The only downside is it can get busy, but that’s probably because people like going here so much.
