If you’re looking for a real throwback restaurant, try Lido’s in Hackensack. It is warm and cozy on the inside with comfortable booths and little lamps on the tables. There’s even a pay phone in the small front lobby. Steak sandwiches, pizza and Italian entrees fill out the menu. There is also a steak on the menu. Pictured here is the cheeseburger with sautéed onions. It was fabulous and cooked perfectly. My wife had the sliced steak sandwich which is pictured. It comes in two sizes; single and double for those with a bigger appetite. Drinks are reasonably priced as well. The meals with a beer and a glass of wine came to $56. It was a great experience and we will be returning very soon to try the pizza (which looked terrific).

Lido Restaurant in Hackensack, NJ, is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Nestled in a charming location, this family-owned establishment exudes warmth and authenticity from the moment you walk in. It’s a throwback to simpler times. Their bar pies are amazingly thin and delicious. We enjoyed their open steak sandwich too. We prefer to sit at the bar. The wait staff is always on point. Great place for sensibly priced grub.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here on a Saturday evening. This was our first time at the restaurant. The pizza was absolutely amazing. Dave Portnoy voted 8.1. In our opinion it is a 9.1. The sauce/cheese ratio is perfect. What is the best is how thin this pie is. The photos show how thin it is. Our server Joanne was so sweet and very accommodating. We had a very nice dining experience! The only thing I would suggest to management is to use fresh sliced mushrooms and not canned mushrooms. It is a whole different thing! The canned ones have a different texture (slimy & rubbery) Fresh is best especially with your name attached. We will definitely be back!!

My neighbor is an old school neighborhood resident that shares a mutual love for pizza. After hearing from her and driving by and noticing the big sign informing the world that they were reviewed by that pizza guy, I had to give it a try. The flavor was extremely nice but two things that can be improved: it is way too thin and overpriced. I’d like them to make a slightly thicker crust. As it stands I would call this version see-through.

Retro decor, with all vinyl quilted booth seating, appears to be original circa 1960. Very dimly lit and therefore somewhat cozy. Pizza is great thin crust style. Sliced steak sandwich is their specialty although tonight I had the 7oz strip steak and it was good but not great. I thought the Manhattan clan chowder to be just okay with hardly any clams. I liked their Italian house salad dressing.

This is a very comfortable place in which to dine. Food is terrific and the service is great. Best of all, the thin crust pizza is “fantastic”.

We loved the old Lidos – prices were good – food was great – now more expensive and not as good. Tried it again – since we went for a birthday the last time and they just threw the cake on the table – said I wouldn’t go back again!

We really like Lidos a lot but tonight something was off from the pizza to the meat sauce .The meat sauce was definitely not working.
