Wow! Just wow! Not what I was expecting to find in small town Wallace, Idaho! Everything my wife and I got was amazing. Great portions for the price and the brisket was cooked to perfection! Do yourself a favor and go for breakfast and get the Lawless Taco. I got that but made into a burrito. Only $12 and it easily made two meals. We will absolutely be eating here again if staying in or passing through Wallace.

My sister and I stopped in Wallace, Idaho at the Slab Meat Tex-Mex BBQ bus and savored a delicious lunch plate! Every item on our plates was perfectly prepared. The brisket was flavorful and tender! The red cabbage coleslaw was dressed with a well balanced sauce. Tex-Mex baked beans were thick and rich with just a whisper of heat. My sister’s pulled pork plate equaled mine. I can’t rate this highly enough!!! Will definitely revisit this spot.

My SO and I got two tacos – Pulled Pork, Brisket. I wasn’t a fan of either but my SO liked both. They are open until they’re sold out and on a Friday Afternoon, they had alreast sold out of Chicken and Potatoes. They have a handful of outdoor seating but also offer takeout and a small handful of soda/pop drinks.

What amazing food… yet just a terribly inconsistent business. I have made a trip to Wallace half a dozen times this year- different days of the week, different times of the day, and they are closed. If your business posts hours of operation, I should think you’d want to stick to them just a little bit.

What a fun, kitchy little place. BBQ was good, and the service was fast and friendly. We had brisket sandwiches, the best parts were the homemade pickles!
