First time visit. Crowded Friday evening. It’s set up like a dining hall & I would not be comfortable during the height of the pandemic. Service was excellent, prices reasonable. Food was very bland but acceptable when hungry. And I’m not much of a spicy eater, but even i wished for some authenticity. They’ve got a good thing going; just need to improve on taste.

The food was very good yet on the mild side. I was able to get jalapenos to spice it up which made my meal perfect. The margarita either had no tequila in it or very very little. I would never order one again. Service was good with the exception of having to wait almost 20 minutes for a check.

Awesome experience! First we had a drink at the bar when we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The bartender was very friendly. We had a party of 8 and we didn’t have to wait long to get seated even though they were busy. Our server kept up with all of us. We never went empty on anything! AND THE FOOD… AMAZING!! I can’t remember what the name of our dish was, but it has steak, shrimp, chorrizzo (sp?), peppers, onions, and a very flavorfully sauce. Not spicy… But delicious & flavorful. It came with tortillas, rice, beans, lettuce, & sour cream. I think it was one of the best meals at a Mexican restaurant that I have ever had!!!

I love the food. But the waitress was grumpy, short with us and outright rude she. Refused to bring any more chips or salsa when our main dinner arrived then claimed it was because chips and salsa are complementary with a main course meal, not with alacart. When we complained to the cashier. She said yea that waitress does that sometimes. Like the cashier didn’t even care, didn’t get a manager to help us nothing. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Loved, loved, loved my meal. The salsa and quacamole were freaking great, and the warm tortilla chips were a plus. I ordered Ceviche de Camaron y Pulpo. It was spot on!!! Unfortunately, my husband ordered Lalos Steak, and the steak looked and tasted like it was cooked or de-thawed in the microwave. Horrible. Fortunately, Angel and the other server were super nice about it and let him order something different. He went with the pork and chicken fajitas, and they were amazing!!! Oh, btw, the drinks were great too. HUGE… but great.

Lalos is an authentic gem for Northwest Fort Wayne. The food will never disappoint and the staff is kind and quick. I only wish it were bigger! Only other complaint is you cannot seat unless your entire party is present, which I understand when tight on space. I eat here often and get food to go which is always ready within 15 minutes. I always recommend this place.
