Fantastic food. Fantastic staff. The staff here is incredibly friendly and always happy to help. The food came shockingly fast but tasted delicious. Presentation had a little bit to be desired and it was a little messy to eat, but I highly recommend this place whether you’re just visiting town or taking a break from work.

So let’s start off by saying this is my first time at grumpys the staff was great the vegan veggie was great the salad was a salad not Manny dressing options for vegans buy hey you win some you loose some. So I came in to grumpys for a quick bite, I thought the place was nice so I decided to dine in I order every single vegan item off the menu(I tend to believe I’m a traveling vegan food critic) so again I’m eating and from one plate to another I get to the VEGAN impossible burger. I talked to everyone here so I stopped a random worker and told them that the burger was under cooked and could it be remade to go because I had finished everything else the worker told me no it’s vegan it’s suppose to be like that and that’s cooked more than what we usually cook them so no. So I ask for a manager and she says to me No I’m the owner(CASSIE) nice to meet you ( had to ask the other employees her name cusbshe never gave it) I’m like I’ve been vegan over 7 years and thats not done she then says well we not remaking it we can take that one and put it back on the grill and that’s it. I usually don’t do bad reviews but it was imperative that I publicly share this experience. I wish nothing but luck to any business owner but that by far was the worst experience I’ve had in years. I really wish this was social media so I could tagged the city’s health inspector. And btw before grumpy decides to reply and warrant their nonsense I recorded the whole thing and will be more than happy to post that if need be

The food at Grumpy’s is always great, but the serving/kitchen staff needs to take their time a bit more to read the orders. Two times in a row now they’ve forgotten an extra side that I paid for, and not made substitutions for the items that I’ve ordered. Again the food is always wonderful, but for the high price I expect my food to be right at least most of the time.

I was hired, the manager let me go as far as to put in the paperwork to change my availability at my other job! I came in one day to train & was there for maybe 2 hours and then get a message from an employee I knew through school to be let know that the manager had over hired and “she guesses I don’t have the position” just beyond unprofessional… & No I did nothing wrong, didn’t say or do anything inappropriate to cause this outcome so it was truly just unprofessional on so many levels and to not even have the nerve to speak to me directly was what really through me off

First time at Grumpys and overall the food is really good. I had a bowl of their chili and the sawbuck (I believe that I spelled that correctly) and I got a free oatmeal raisin cookies for it being my first time. Chili you could tell was made in house including the tomato base which made it one of the top Chili’s I’ve had at a restaurant. The sawbuck was really good with the crunchiness of the toasted bread with the juiciness of the meat was great. The cookie was both soft and had that amazing outside crust you look for. The only “argument” I have is that the sandwich is served with potato chips and it is slightly expensive to eat there. For two of us with waters it was roughly $30 without tip.

Excellent vegan options. The sweet potato burger (pictured) was terrific and unique. Serving it with kale chips was great. The chalk boards to your left when you enter have even more vegan options and there are great vegan desserts too. Service is great as well.

Grumpy’s had an excellent vegan selection—BLT, chili dog, sweet potato burger, cheese, macaroni Salad, Jack fruit chicken. I ordered the chili dog—it was delicious! I loved the sauerkraut. The service was friendly and prompt. We even got a complimentary cookie for visiting for the first time. I thought the choices (both vegan and non-vegan) were a bit pricey, which is why I didn’t give the restaurant five stars.

My friend and I eat lunch at Grumpy’s about twice a month. Because I don’t eat meat, I stick to the Garbage Salad and the Grilled Veggie sandwich. I love both of them. I have never been disappointed in either. The atmosphere is regular lunch room tables and chairs; nothing fancy. It is always crowded with a wait at lunchtime. They are only open for lunch. The servers are very friendly and efficient. It is in an old building with pictures on the wall. They have photos of people who have eaten there, all over the walls when you come inside.
