Everything here is big, especially the pizza. It’s also nice to see a big parking lot. Entrance is no longer from the front. Expect to wait in line. This place is kind of out of the way and very popular with locals. It is well worth the extra drive. There’s a different price if you pay by cash versus paying by card. They announce the difference in payment on a sign while waiting in line so be observant. Entrance to the restaurant is only through the back. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Went here for their famous huge pizza. Once we arrived, it was chaos we had no idea where to wait for seating. We asked servers, and they just kept telling us to wait outside, which wasn’t ideal in the blistering heat, so we elected to wait in the hall near the door instead. We had to ask 3 times where to wait and each person stated different places and advice. It was very confusing. Once we were finally shown to our table, the whole place was filled, and everyone was waiting for their orders. This is understandable since the pizzas are huge. We were waiting, and then our waitress took our orders and brought our drinks and not much after brought our appetizers of the Rose pepperoni bites. Once she set it down, she then disappeared completely. We ran out of drinks and had no update on our pizza whatsoever. After about 30 or 40 min. I just made my way to what looked like one of their drink refill station and asked for refills. The guy was very helpful and refilled all our drinks and asked who our server was. We td him, and he set out to look for her and also didn’t find her. Then finally she showed up after about another 20 min apologizing but didn’t quite clarify where she had went nor an update on our pizza but was able to provide another refill since we all went through out drinks again because we were waiting soooo long. Finally the pizza came and it was still doughy and not fully cooked. The sauce was sweet and different. Not necessarily in a good or bad way, just. Different. But again, I’m from NYC, so I’m a bit of a pizza snob when it comes to pizza, so there are many that may like it. It wasn’t amazing to MY taste buds. It was great for pictures and a new experience since it’s the biggest pizza I had ever seen. It’s a good one-time stop. But I doubt I will go back again.

I love this place!!! Whenever we are in S.A., I make it my mission to come here. For such a huge pizza, I’m so happy it also has great taste to it. Cooked to perfection, not overly saucy and toppings are on point. I love the experience and thrill of getting the 42in pizza. Not only that, their drinks and side items are just as good! Service is great, our waitress today was AMAZING!!! If your in town, you have to…no no, it’s required for you to stop here and get their pizza. You won’t be disappointed!

If you have a big appetite/family and want to get the most for your money, this is the place for you. Parking is located in the back of the establishment and when you arrive you have to wait outside to be seated. The servers are polite and very helpful I know its hard to visualize an enormous pizza but they can explain everything to you. We had the wings as an appetizer and they were well sauced and juicy on the inside with a light crisp of the skin. They have a lot of memorabilia on the walls and it’s a place that has a lot of history. We ordered the 37″ and between a family of 6 we ate about half of it, on a side note we took it home and it still tasted great. The pizza has great flavor and is a thin crust when it is ready it is brought to your table by 6 men, jk. The delivery of the pizza to your table can be impressive but when the waiter brought it out he said “good luck.” I love this place and my family enjoyed the pizza. Next time we return to San Antone we will try once again to take it down.

Wings are pretty good if you like them baked. Not crispy on the outside but good. Also ordered the 36″ pepperoni to go. Make sure you have a trunk or truck bed big enough for this 2nd biggest pizza. Good pizza. Good wings. Excellent place to feed a crowd either, at home or on site. We had to buy cafeteria trays to fit the pizza slices.

Thought the pizza was great . The waitress was out standing !!! very friendly..We had a great time.. You have to get there before 5 pm or you will be standing in line for a very long time.. The long island ice tea is not that good…I would suggest drinking a beer instead of any other drinks… Hot wings were $14.99 for 12 , wings were ok. Pizza was $26.69 for 3 toppings 20″. Beers were $4, and long island ice tea was $5.. Drinks were the happy hour specials..

The atmosphere was really nice. They had a decent bar and they have TV screens everywhere. You can sit outside or inside if the weather permits. The staff was friendly. The pizza is a thin crust almost New York style. It is very good. They use very good pepperoni and cheese. The 20 inch fed three people comfortably with food to take home. They are kid-friendly and can accommodate larger groups. I would recommend giving them a shot. Especially if you like a New York style type of pizza.

I drive from far and away to enjoy Big Lou’s pizza. Good each and every time. Toppings are better quality than most and the crust is chewy and flaky in all the right ways. It’s busy for a reason so be patient.

I ordered the cheese sticks probably shouldn’t have did that I ordered the largest pizza they have which they used to have a lot bigger one and after one slice I was put into a coma it was so delicious but unfortunately I couldn’t finish it and after about a week of eating on it I’m down to four slices Believe it or not this is the only pizza that I have had cold and it still tastes just as delicious as it did and when it was straight out of the oven although trying to warm it back up was somewhat of a trick it’s still just as good as when I ordered it either way I recommend if you’re going to go and try this it’d be a huge group and when it got time to go they didn’t have big enough pizza boxes for it but we made it fit in the box they gave us although I did watch people order wings and extra My body hated me for the rest of the day but the next morning I woke up and had another piece it’s going to take me a while to you want to eat any kind of pizza but I will eventually eat pizza again I do recommend this for anybody who really wants really good really large pizza

I’ve been putting off going to Big Lou’s for no reason in particular but I’m happy to have experienced it. Just seeing this pizza in front of you is mind bending. Little greasy but the crust is great. A little pricey, so come with a big party or you’ll happily come away with leftovers.
