Great restaurant and wasn’t busy at the time that we went around 5:30 on a Tuesday night. Seemed to be only one waitress working but there was a very short wait time for food or service so that wasn’t an issue. It did get busier around the time that we left. The food was tasty and had great flavor. I had the chicken taco, pork belly and head meat. No complaints and would try other things on the menu also.

Delicious! Highly recommended! I had an order of cabeza en su jugo. It was absolutely the best head I have ever gotten. Lol. I also had tacos de chicharron, and I can say it was excellent! I will be returning!

We recently visited SanDiego and after asking a young lady who worked in a tourist area Mexican restaurant where she would eat out Mexican if she were going, she recommended De Cabeza. We worked all week to get it into our schedule and finally on our last full day made it there. I will tell you that unequivocally this was the best authentic Mexican food we have had period. We live in a part of the country where we can get authentic Mexican fare, and most is really good, but this place was in a league of its own! The chef heard we had come to check it out and came out personally to meet us and make some recommendations. I never leave reviews but this experience warranted it 100%. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed with the food, the service, or the price I guarantee you.

Awesome tacos, served & priced the way that they should be, not the exorbitant prices some “taco shops” are charging. You will get unique cuts of meat that are not even offered in most places because none of the beef goes to waste. From the head (cabeza), cheek, tongue others too exotic to name. They also offer pork & chicken for more mainstream fare. I had a small bowl of broth (consome) which was filling & delicious. Going back today for more.

GO HERE! This place is amazing! The owner greeted us and was very friendly the entire time we were there. He recommended the cabeza dish for us to try and it exceeded our expectations. It came with tender meat, tortillas, and consume to make your own tacos. We also got the pastor tacos and those were yummy too. Then we ended our meal with the marzipan flan. This place has ample seating and the food comes out quickly.
