I order 8 tacos with just cilantro and 2 drinks paid almost 40$. Receive the food went to work just to find out they have chili onions salsa and no cilantro !! Was so pissed i came back told them you missed up my order and the ladies are just laughing and making fun of me in Spanish, not knowing I speak Spanish. Then Receive my food, went back to work just to find out they put cilantro and onions!!!!!!! So I picked out the onions and ate a few taco and the meat was super dry and nasty. lost my hole 30 mins of lunch and gas because they CANT make a simple order correctly I won’t recommend this place to no one !!!

You have no idea how nostalgic it felt to walk into this El Faro to find the walk up counter with stewed chicken for my burrito! Growing up on the peninsula, El Faro was my favorite burrito. I got a chicken super burrito with sour cream and it was delicious!! The well worn tables, decor and kind people behind the counter… brought a tear to my eye. Thank you!

My lunch at El Faro was one to forget, my fish tacos were super hot (temperature wise) and consisted of a stale soft taco tortilla and a smidge of lettuce. A pity. Across the table a burrito did not look appealing either. It was sent back unfinished. I am not an expert in Mexican food but I can say that El Faro has no business pretending to offer some.

Boy does this place have staying power I remember this place since before I lived here which was 48 years ago. It was awesome Mexican food back in the 70s and it has not changed one bit so beautiful arranged restaurant but mainly and most importantly the food is OMG I would think this is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant ever and has been here well over 40 some years. The food tastes like it did back then and it was awesome and it’s awesome now. I can’t say enough there are not enough words LOL I just really love this place it’s clean it’s courteous people are nice. Whatever they got they should bottle it but it would be ruined if it was turned into a franchise so enjoy having it here in our hometown. Where’s the lucky ones

I love this place I’ve been going here for years. They have fast service and also very friendly people who work there. Great prices an amazing food! I highly recommend going to this place! Very small place that packs a powerful punch! Update September 21st 2021. Unfortunately I took it down two stars because of their service is so slow and unreliable it is frustrating! You are a delivery person today is really unorganized with the process and frustrating to try to make delivery for them.
