Late review due to getting back in the swing of things post vacation. However, I had to make this my first review from our trip! Mr. Brooks is amazing and sweet and can cook up some food that reminds you of how the south used to cook. It was like being back in my grandmothers kitchen. Everything is hot fresh and will leave you wanting more. Loved the fried shrimp but it was soooo good it was all gone when I took the food pictures!! Food was the best food we had in Charleston, and we are from NJ. We came back a second time. The meat off the rob comes off like butter, the food is seasoned amazingly and simply. The chef/owner is extremely kind and considerate and would love it if he could gain more recognition.

This food right here is !!! It’s cooked to order and it’s cooked with heart and soul. You can taste the love. I don’t like mac and cheese but this is DELICIOUS. IT’S ALL DELICIOUS!!! Hidden gem in Charleston. Best soul food in town! Hands down!!!

People were super nice, food was incredible. I got the ribs, pork chop, mac and cheese, green beans, and corn. Ribs were so tender and the pork chop was seasoned so deliciously. Very happy i found this place and would come back.

The fish was good, and so were the chicken strips. The fries could use less salt, the older gentleman and young lady running the place were pleasant. They greeted me coming in, and the young lady offered to get the door for me on in my way out.
