It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The drive thru line on a Thursday night is so embarrassing for this being a drive thru fast food place. We waited in the line over 40 mins beginning to end. They only have one lane functional and it has the line all the way to the street. Once we finally made it to the microphone the man was so rude and rushing us. He has such an attitude when we asked for Fanta Orange he went off on us telling us they only have strawberry Fanta like we worked there and knew that. He was so unprofessional and uncourteous I would definitely look into his bad attitude if I was upper management. The way they are running this location it will have you contemplating McDonald’s across the street or just jumping on the freeway for 3 mins to a better restaurant. The parking lot isn’t well lit and the back side of the adjacent building has homeless people camping out. The lady at the window was another rude character acting like she couldn’t give us extra ketchup even though it was 3 adult combos over $30 spent and she had an attitude behind ketchup like she just waited 45 minutes for her food . Ridiculous the attitudes flying out of this drive thru if it isn’t the man on the mic it was the bouncer in the window. We won’t be coming back to this location at night it’s a shambles. I would say a dangerous location and it isn’t worth losing my life sitting in the drive thru by a homeless encampment. The food was cooked good but that’s about it. I definitely would not suggest coming to this location.

Went there for breakfast while I was in from Ohio. My cousin Kyle says it’s 4 out of 5… but this is my review. 3 stars. Basic breakfast. Nothing special. Biscuit and gravy was ok. If and I mean IF I go back that’s what I’m getting. Wasn’t thrilled with the Honey biscuit, but the honey butter did slap! Also had the taquito breakfast burrito thingy. Not impressed. But the picante sauce was very tasty. Overall great sauces, basic food.

I had Catherine as a server. I went inside to place at lunch rush and pick up my order. The service was great Catherine was very polite and very patient and helpful. As I had multiple order’s to place. My service was fast and almost accurate. Considering all the orders I had. Only wound up missing one fry from my order.

Despite bad reviews, I walked in on a Sunday evening and ate so good!! Fries were so hot and fresh and my 2 burgers we bussing! Cashier girl was nice and the lady who brought my order to the table was also nice. And I did notice all empty tables were clean including mine.

Silly me thinks “hey there’s a Whataburger about 5 mins down the road from the AirBnb, I’m new in Texas they don’t have these up North, let me try it out”. So I order online, says it should be about 10 mins til it’s ready. 10 mins later I arrive and then I wait and wait and wait and now it’s 45 minutes later (after my arrival, almost an hour since I ordered) and then my food is ready. The entire drive thru line was a succession of every single one of us waiting forever! This was by far one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had in years. For the time this took I could’ve went to an actual restaurant where they make it from scratch or made this myself at home from literal groceries. Fast food is supposed to be cheap and quick and this was neither. To add the biggest insult to injury the food was cold! What was I waiting all this time for if it was already made?! Let me tell you, if I didn’t already spend $$ online I would’ve jumped ship a long time ago. They were incredibly short staffed and the cashier was apologetic so I didn’t say anything to them, instead I’ll give this review here for other potential buyers to read in advance and also the survey on the receipt. I wish I checked this location’s reviews before ordering here but I didn’t think ordering fast food needed to be so deep. Apparently it can be a whole crapshoot. Management and corporate need to do better because the fast food competition makes this experience feel like a travesty. Complete waste of time and money.

Whataburger is great but this is one of their worst locations. I ordered a medium shake but was handed a small. I told the worker that I had ordered a medium, but he already knew that. He said he gave me a small because they ran out of medium cups. I asked, “can I at least get what I paid for?” He had no idea what I was saying, but he saw that I wasn’t OK with the small so he took it back and partially filled a large cup to what he estimated to be a medium’s worth. They’d rather get over on their customers than deal with charging you for what they gave you, or giving you a little extra. Next time I want Whataburger I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes and go to a different location.

This Whataburger has always had a heard time keeping up with clientele. It’s in a very popular area. The Burgers are better here than at most. If they could just be quicker like other locations. Then they’ll get 5 stars all the way!

Wonderful employees and customer service we’re very helpful. The Patty Melt was delicious, tasty and fast made! The restaurant was clean even though it was medium sized packed with people when i went this afternoon! I especially like the cashier Damaris who seemed to love there job and went above and beyond helping me pay with a gift card i was having trouble using!

Service is incredibly slow. I waited in line inside for 10 min behind a Whataburger employee who was ordering a meal after their shift. I think customers should take priority. The ceiling was leaking and dripped on me. This place is not good.

Ordered online for pickup. Got to window, realized I was missing an item. Told the worker, his response “oh, it’s for you? I thought it was a door dash order” so basically they’ll just leave stuff off your order expecting DoorDash to cover their literal ineptitude and laziness.
