What a fantastic atmosphere! The food is fresh, authentic and fast! Alexa the waitress caters to all of your needs. We don’t eat a lot of sushi so appreciate the recommendations. The chef Haru and the other team preparing the food are amazing. Melt in your mouth delicious. The hostess seats you quickly and the manger keeps things hopp’in.

Food was so fresh. The fish on our rainbow rolls was wonderful. The atmosphere was clean and nice and our server was very attentive and polite.

I took my mother out to lunch here yesterday and I was wildly impressed with the promptness and quality of my service! The hostess was so sweet and sat as at a lovely table on the patio! The umbrellas were a nice touch as it was sunny out but we were still able to enjoy the beautiful weather with out getting too hot! We each ordered two rolls which came out quickly and tasted phenomenal, even my elderly mother who doesn’t often try new foods really enjoyed her meal! Our server was very friendly and attentive and made sure we never ran out of water(which is very appreciated especially when sitting outside on a sunny day). I’m so happy Umi has finally moved up north so I don’t have to drive so far for top of the line sushi anymore! I will definitely be returning!

I’ve known the owner(s) of the Kendall yards location for quite a while now. Hands down the best sushi in Spokane. Operating a restaurant is by far one of the toughest industries to be in. This new location is awesome and closer to home for me. With only being officially open for maybe a week, the wait staff and service was great. Nice job everybody. Im happy to see a new location!

Umi in Kendall Yards is one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane and I was so excited when I heard they were opening a north location. Unfortunately, our experience the other night was very disappointing. Not only was the food not as good as the Kendall Yards location, the service was very bad. Our waitress was in a hurry to leave and kept rushing us the whole dinner. She asked if we would be on one check or two when she dropped our meals off and then brought the check when we weren’t even half way done eating. She didn’t ask about dessert or more drinks, etc. It wasn’t even 7 pm and we hadn’t even been there for an hour! It was a birthday celebration with old friends and we felt rushed and couldn’t enjoy the rest of our dinner. At one point she was sweeping right by our feet.

Waiting for Umi North to open, and finally got to enjoy impeccable sushi in spokane north again! Love the new interior, staff is great, had many dishes and enjoyed the old favorites and new ones we tried! Look forward to the next visit

Just as delicious as the downtown Kendall yards location. So yummy! Dragon roll was our favorite. Friendly staff & clean space. Glad they opened one up for the north side people. I think this is one of the best sushi restaurants in Spokane. The rolls are pretty expensive but it’s hard to find good sushi so I think it’s worth it.

We live up north and have visited a number of other sushi restaurants in the area, one of which was our go to and which closed last year.

There were fun cocktail options to choose from and plenty of sushi options. I really enjoyed the Hawaii and Spokane roll, but I wasn’t super thrilled with the Baked Lobster roll. It was hard to eat without it falling apart, but the flavor was still good. The honey walnut shrimp appetizer was also really yummy, but it is VERY rich, so I recommend splitting it with one (or two) people. I would definitely recommend this location to others and will come back!
