I have been driving by this place for several years. Its black-and-white checkered facade is the fixture of Main street in Port Washington and is a very hard to miss. Never had a chance however, perhaps because I am not a breakfast person. We stopped by Port Washington Diner couple of days ago for a breakfast. We ordered a quesadilla. 2-egg breakfast and some French toast. The were pretty busy on this Saturday morning but the service was fast and the food was delicious. I would definitely come again.

Very disappointed in Port diner. The food has become garbage and unfit to eat. The last two times my food has been unfit to eat. I didn’t even feed it to my Cavapoo. prices have gone up and the food has gone to the toilet. The waitress and waiter are the best with Aphrodite snd Becky being the best of the best. The long time waiter there i don’t remember his name but he is awesome. I am done with port diner

It’s a diner. But if you leave the north east and move down south like I did, you realize how much you miss a well run diner. The classic fair is all pretty good–the chicken parm is well baked, (crispy outside, delicious inside) and topped with a lovely cheese. Could I have used a little more sauce for it and the pasta? Yes, but I prefer that to drowning the meat until it’s soggy. In the end it’s the little misses that steal the last star away. Was my chocolate shake good? It was better than fair, but why give me a black-and-white shake when you have chocolate ice cream on board? I may not dream of this place, but I’ll never say no to coming back either. Tasty and worth the wait.

My experience…. hmm.. today was my first time there, I don’t live in the area, I do live in Nassau County, but lemme tell you, I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I can’t stand. They need to learn what customer service means. I work in retail and I treat my customers WAY better than this place. When a little girl comes in and vomits on the floor, ask your customers if they are okay, if they need anything, if they’d perhaps like to move tables, anything!!! So anyway, wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody. Have a nice day!!!!
