We are family owned, oriented, and operated and for us everything starts in the kitchen. Every dish is made with love so both your belly and your heart are full. I’ve been wanting to try this Soul BBQ. Finally, I caught them OPEN. The atmosphere was very homey, and the gentleman behind the counter was very professional and knew the items back and forth. The service was great. Love was placed in the food. My order consisted of 1 Fry Bread, 1 order of smoked chicken wings/ loaded chicken fries, and Loaded Chicken Fries.

My partner and I were passing through Topeka on a cross country road trip and decided to stop in. We ordered rib tips, cheesy potato mash, coleslaw, and fry bread with warm honey. The cheesy potato mash was a 50/50 ratio of cheese to potatoes (no complaints here) and had a little spice and acid kick from chunks of roasted peppers. The coleslaw had a healthy sprinkle of celery seed, not too much mayo, and the perfect amount of sweetness and crunch. The tender ribs were smothered with a perfect, thick, tangy, sweet & spicy sauce. We ate like animals. It was messy, loud, and inappropriate. It was perfect. We will be back any chance we can get.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time today. Hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Portions were large. Friendly staff (owners?). The only negative thing I have to say is that it sucks that I live an hour and a half away from this wonderful gem.

The wings were a little pricey but very good! When eating smoked wings they are usually rubbery but these wings were nice and crispy! I have a culinary arts degree and live in Kansad City so I know good food and BBQ!

As a KC native, I’ve eaten alot of BBQ. Soul Fire is now in my top 5 best. Brisket was tender and perfectly smoked. Ribs were well seasoned and the sauce was great. The cheesy potatoes were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Better than Jack’s Stack in KC. Highly recommend and will stop here anytime I’m back in Topeka.

Came in and ordered a brisket sandwich and some beans. Brisket was spot on as were the beans but I do feel the bread could’ve been toasted a little to give the sandwich a warm taste to it. The ambiente is a little sad but clean. All in all I’ll be back to try out something else off the menu. Thanks guys

We had lunch at Soul Fire today and it was great! The gentleman at the counter was really nice. The rib tips are excellent. BBQ beans were good and unique they had pulled pork in them and a nice flavor. The cheesy taters were also delicious. My son and husband especially liked the BBQ sauce.

We were driving through town on our way to Albuquerque and stopped. Glad we did! I had a loaded baked potato with pulled pork delicious and huge!! I stole a bite of my husbands ribs yum!! The owners were friendly and helpful.
