I work in Shafter, and occasionally treat myself to El Duran tacos…Best in kern county by far. Worth the drive from Bakersfield. They put a good portion of asada, the guacamole is always delicious…keep it up!

They accept ATM cards now!!! I’m a very picky eater and LOVE food. Also like to eat at a nice clean place. This place very much satisfies my tastes, hunger and I can relax in comfort while enjoying a great meal. Carne asada fries are the “BOMB” . Burritos, tacos and everything else has lots of flavor. The only thing is Shrimp cocktail is not the same as La Canasta but it comes in second for in town. Cash Only but I learned cash help you not spend as much.

My boy and I did a mini taco crawl. We compared three different spots in Shafter. In our opinion, this place ranked higher for taste, price, and timing. The tacos here had good flavor, and the agua de piña was delicious. We will be going back soon.
