Beware this place closes when they want to close; the 6PM advertised close time is mostly wrong. Always call before you go to make sure they are open. It’s very wrong that they do this to their customers but it’s good food for a good price. So as long as you know this, all will be good.

The best Chinese takeout food in Mid City for the price! I love their kung pao shrimp and shrimp fried rice. I’ve been a patron for many years and have never had a problem with my orders. No frills, mom and pop shop, so the service is personable and they fix dishes fresh in the wok while you wait.

Growing up in the early 80s and 90s, my aunt would take my brother and I here for take out! We were good friends with the original owners. The food was always great! It’s been many years since I’ve been here- especially considering I haven’t been a CA resident in over 12+ years. I would imagine the food still taste great. I would always order the pepper steak/beef and boy was it delicious.

Very Rude and had a hard time communicating with cashier. It pains me to write this review because it’s obviously a mom and pop business but it wasn’t right to scowl at me for no good reason. I didn’t buy anything, left. Maybe try delivery if they offer it.

Ho Ho can’t compare to the rest! The flavor and price is amazing especially if your on a college budget. The restaurant is own by a couple and they are always really nice and welcoming. For two people to keep a busy place like ho ho always running, I give them credit and thanks for all the amazing and delicious meals I have had here.

These type of Chinese hole in the wall places are disappearing (Tams Garden, Marengo Fish & Chips) but Ho Ho Kitchen has those delicious thick and soft chow main noodles that used to be a go to at chinese restaurants. Cash only.

I Love Ho Ho Kitchen !!! Back in 1970’s, My Family would visit in Summer from San Jose Ca, together there were 7-8 boys 2-3 girls & 4-6 parents 15-18 total. Our Parents stopped @ HO HO Kitchen on way to CC Drive In Theatre !!! That was such A Great Time ! I Still Love to Visit HO HO Kitchen. The Sweet Couple who Cook, Make Delicious inexpensive Dishes to Order. In 40+ Years Never 1 mistake on My Orders !!! We Love You & Your Food !!! Don’t ever stop !
