We stopped in for a little dessert and break after a long day in Savannah. First impression was WOW what a dynamic atmosphere. This is a must see lounge. It is gorgeous, raw and rustic. The artwork, statues and mounts are stunning. Super friendly staff and extremely clean. It is a high in quality establishment.

I read about this place on Google and was determined to go. Its great for a date night in Savannah and the atmosphere is fascinating. Everything in there is real and by that I mean all the animals. The crocs are named after the two in the Disney movie, The Rescuers. They are aptly named Nero and Brutus. There is even a book you can read while there about everything that is there. Then all the drinks have some type of authentic African herb in them and they are delicious.The bartenders and staff were gracious, kind and truly knowledgeable about the menu, artwork etc.

Really neat atmosphere but the bartender completely ignored us, even though he knew we were there, so we seated ourselves and about 10 minutes later a waitress finally came over, she was very nice, the beet hummus was good, the drinks were ok, way over priced for the lack of service and quality of food and beverages

Omg. beautiful concept. Clearly the Marriott folks have spent a lot of time hunting in the Kenyan wildlife refuges and acquiring Masai Mara artifacts. Its beautiful on display – especially when you recognize it. Bar staff was very kind and our drinks were perfection. Love this place, but since I have Kenyan relatives and understand their conservation issues, it did make me pause and think about things a bit differently.

The Baobab is located in the JW Marriott and it is a must see. The bar area’s decor is fabulous AND you go through a free museum to get to it. Very, very cool. The drinks were great and the beet hummus appetizer was also fantastic. Simply outstanding! From the bartenders to the manager. A great experience, great vibe, great service and very educational. The ambiance and motif are stellar! Beautiful lounge, the decor seems to be African safari themed with lots of art and statues. We didn’t taste the food, we were drawn in by the two huge statues outside the door and wanted to wander around. I’m not sure if it is meant to be like a museum but many other people were also there to look around and not necessarily to eat.

Been coming here for a while now. Nina is one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had at any place I’ve been. She is very pleasant and easy to talk to. She seems to truly care about her quest. Highly recommend the bar and her as waitresses.
