I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. My husband and I love it! The food is always top notch fantastic, the atmosphere is always relaxing whether it is a quiet week day afternoon or a busy holiday. The staff handle it all with ease and a smile and treat their guests like family. The view outside overlooking the golf course is fantastic. We plan to bring friends and family here when they visit. I’d be here everyday if I could.

Not our first time here, but the food has definitely declined. So sad because we loved it before. Tonight’s special was prime rib. I asked for medium rare. What I got was medium to medium well and it was so salty. The veggies were really good.

Food was clearly frozen and re-heated. Third time of trying and will most definitely be the last. No authentic Italian dishes made as they should be. Staff were courteous and pleasant but the food let it down yet again. Good place for drinks but that’s it.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Made a reservation on opening night and did not regret it. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. The flavor and overall presentation of the salmon with risotto was out of this world. Great selection of wines and cocktails to wash it down. I look forward to visiting Vera Roma again in the summer, after a round of golf at the course down the road!

Vera Roma is the best restaurant in Torrington by far. The food is fabulous, the service is the best, and the facility is great. My husband and I have been there many times, and it never is anything but great. Today we went for lunch, 7 people, my sister was visiting from South Carolina, and she was very impressed. Thank you!

I say a thretwo as for the food it is good but I must say I went in there my expectation was really high. For the price I was expecting a lot more flavor I was hoping for this place to be that one resteraunt in town I could go to on special occasions. It just wasn’t that for me, yes I ordered takeout I got clams casino, baked stuffed shrimp and a French onion soup. Everything was Luke warm the risotto and spinach was amazing but the shrimp, which is supposed to be the hero just didn’t wow me. The clams casino was good Luke warm. Now this is just preference I hate my clams casino with stuffing it kills it for me but others seem to love it. Another thing about the baked stuffed shrimp I was expecting colossal shrimp. Now all this being said if the meal wasn’t cold it probably would’ve been better I don’t understand why it was cold because there was only two people when I went there.

The restaurant inside was very nice. Our waiter was very good at getting us our food, drinks and check in a timely fashion since we were on a time crunch. The reason for the 2 stars is because nowhere on their menu did it say that the chicken parm was with spicy sauce. My mouth was on such fire I couldn’t even finish my meal. For a dinner that is $23 you should state with spicy sauce, especially for people who can’t eat spicy foods.

Celebrated Sue’s Birthday Party at Vera Roma tonight. 180 people were there and it was absolutely amazing. The food, service, everything was amazing. Thank you Ralph, Mensur, and Vera Roma crew for the hard work. I recommend having a party here.
