My family visited Sauers first time last night while driving thru Beaver Dam and couldn’t be happier with our 1st visit. The bartender immediately welcomed us into the establishment even with a full bar of guests. Our waitress I believe name Allison was also beyond friendly and welcoming and very tentative. Each of our meals wings, burger, and Philly steak were hot and delicious. Really loved the French fries that were made in fresh oil. Husband got the Philly steak and asked for a special request asking for it to be put on a wrap and the cook was happy to Fulfill request. Prices also very reasonable. Entire restaurant and Even bathrooms were beyond immaculate and clean. It’s so refreshing going into a restaurant/bar that is owned and managed and staffed by people who care. You can just tell the staff are happy to be there and the service, food, atmosphere shows that pride. We definitely recommend and will definitely come back.

The food really was delicious. They actually put the lettuce on the bottom so my burger didn’t fall apart! Fries were really good – crispy, hot and not over-salted. I left 4 stars for atmosphere only because there wasn’t any music which I would expect in a bar. Will definitely be back!

So, the fried cod itself was actually really good tasting, that said their fry portions and fish portions are definitely undersized for the prices they’re charging when you’re comparing to other fish fry within a 20 minute drive. Just like statz before them you can expect to pay for hush puppies and coleslaw and not get it, as they seem to always be out. The people are certainly friendly and to their credit the fried cod tasted good, unfortunately the portions, lack of sides you ordered, and lack of seasoning on the mahimahi made for a seriously underwhelming fishfry.
